I'm back! And I'll be able to play the saves now. Thanks, Bigger.
Is the 'gas' thing about a lack of electrical power?
I also propose we open a tech issues thread. The tech problems are clogging up this thread!
Banter, banter... can't think of anything.

I honestly don't know where that phrase came from - I used to work in a kitchen at a summer camp and it's what the chef would say when things were going well.
Often, I got the impression he meant farts...

Oh - I thought you were literally cooking with gas. I haven't heard that expression before!

Electric stoves suck, you have to wait for the element to get hot and the wok never really works quite right on them. Gas stoves are awesome, they're hot immediately and are great for stir-fry. Also much easier to clean IMO.

Hey I grew up cooking on electric!
One minor advantage of electric though is the heat goes directly to your pot. The gas stove I'm on now has a bad tendency to have a bunch of the heat go out and around the pot.

Sorry guys, been kinda swamped with some stuff recently. However, still not the right save. Also, stick/bigger, put a password on your save. I didn't see anything, for I am a gentleman, but still.
Gas stoves kinda suck in a non-camping/BBQ setting. I agree that for those things they are immensely more practical than their alternatives, but I have a gas stove here and it takes FOREVER to cook things. It's because of fire hazard restrictions and all of that nonsense, so they can't make them as big and powerful as those for restaurants for household consumption. And as spellman mentioned, you often feel as though more heat is going into the ambient atmosphere than in your pot. Cause it's just so sloooow. Either way, at least in Canada, gas stoves are all show and no performance.

tankra, what do you mean not the right save. I sent it to you twice - the second one (that the tracker recognized) said "to Dr. Awkward" on the save. Can you try downloading straight from the tracker and ignoring the emails I sent you?
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Okay, it turns out that that isn't the right save. Apparently we've run into the whole 'if you play the save twice without deleting the old save, you send your own save' issue again. Well, should I replay the turn, or should Bigger replay it?
No, the whole 'cooking with gas' was about the expression being used to express things going well, not about literally cooking with gas.
Apologies for the 70+ hour delay. Does anyone want a tech thread?

I fear that once more, the save is still not correct. The one from the tracker is telling me "thestick, it's your turn!" when I open it up.
If you try again in a few hours I'll be able to check it tonight.
