With the amount of whipping we're going to do in CG, we do need that Granary first. Missionary after Granary or with worker whip overflow is an option. If we an 2-pop whip the worker with lots of overflow...
Do you have a recent sandbox file? I might have some time tomorrow to play with all options.
Library in FoF is nice, but we need military, WB's, missionary's and Settlers from there as well so Lib doesn't get a high priority from me. We should build it in between all the other stuff.
I would whip workers/settlers and overflow in other builds so the cities can grow back faster, not the other way around unless we're going to work unimproved tiles or are growing over the happy cap.
Techpath: Mono - IW - Writing?

Techpath: Mono - IW - Writing? I wasn't entirely sold on skipping granary. Mish after granary probably would work. FoF can build a worker faster than CG anyway (3t at sz 7). Writing->Math after IW is what I think makes the most sense.
The updated sandbox...

Did a little test run with the sandbox.
The only thing I noticed so far is that I wouldn't whip the Galley in SM.
I'd rather change builds to a chariot once the horses are connected and whip the chariot next turn with a bit of overflow into the Galley. We won't need the Galley that early since we'll want to settle the silver production site first.
First missionary should go to that silver site since it needs border pops.
Also, if barbs are an issue, we can chop one riverside forest at our northern city into a chariot before cottaging and finising that Granary there.

Yeah, the plan was to whip the chariot (since that is fastest) into the galley on T78 (when SM reaches sz 2). You're right about the silver site..it will need a border pop so unless we get a free spread (does happen sometimes) the first mish goes there.

Okay! Things are looking good.
Let's make contact with Space next turn and move back out of range.

T70:
As expected, the barb warrior attacked our warrior:
Not a scratch...
So I made the suggested moves on our island. Worker started first cottage, Settler and warrior move north.
Pasture on the horses is done, now all we need is a road there.
And I moved our WB to make contact with Space:
Then I moved the WB back out of range. He'll move noth again next turn. Maybe we should call him Dora the Explorer...
Note that Space has Iron connected, so we'll get Known Tech Bonus for IW!
Didn't end turn yet in case you want to take a look.

In most of the sims that was the case although I did get one case where we had .1 health left (which made the warrior from FoF a prudent cautionary move). Keeping our espionage points on Serdoa is the smart move. Reading the espionage screen isn't one of my strong suits but it doesn't appear that Serdoa made contact with us (ratio < 100%). He could have his points on someone else though. Only time will tell I guess. Ended turn. On a side note, I am keeping my fingers crossed on finding iron on our landmass. Could be problematic if we don't have any.

Ended turn and the new one started with great news:
I was greeted by this screen:
Of course I declined, since we hadn't discussed this yet. What do you guys think?
We do get another discount for Writing!
And I moved Dora:
Haven't ended turn yet or changed builds/tiles to be worked.
