The same problem will likely happen with Liberalism, so if we can fix it easily now, we might as well.

This would cure the symptom not the disease. We need to redo this with Liberalism almost certainly.

I can try adding the tech to the save Plako sent me in a few hours. I guess you should hold off on playing in the meantime as you will have to replay from the save plako sent me if I'm successful.
I have to run.

Tidbit of information from our thread:

The way the original (Unofficial Patch) code worked, as incorporated into base FfH, it set a flag on the player which was not saved. So it would work fine in live multiplayer and single-player, but break if you saved between building the oracle-like building and then reloaded (as the flag would no longer be set). Dunno if there were save/load actions between turns or something weird that might have broken that, but that's what I know.

I'd imagine Jowy would like the culture and great person points as well. Not just the technology.

Those work. Only the free tech failed.

No luck so far. Jowy, can you send me your password, maybe it works if I log in to your civ.

Didn't work with Jowy's login either. For the curious, I'm able to add a tech to India from Python, and that works in SP. In Pitboss I'm also able to execute the code (I just get this warning when I connect to the game), but when the code executes it's only my local copy of the game state that's updated, and the game goes out of sync immediately. Makes sense in hindsight...
So anyway, I tried to load up the save that Plako sent me as a pitboss game hosted on my local computer, but I get prompted for an admin password. I don't know if that's supposed to happen or if it's not supposed to work at all (and I'm not sure loading it up as a pitboss on my computer will solve anything either..). I emailed Sunrise to ask if there's an admin password set for the game.
Long story short, you may need one of the dll gurus' assistance on this.
I have to run.

I think the Python approach works in Pitboss if the host also puts the modified file in place. This is trivial if you are also the Pitboss host locally (have Sunrise save from Pitboss, then you load in Pitboss, connect, fix, save again in Pitboss, send back to sunrise). Or else you could try coordinating with Sunrise to do it on the actual host.
