I just noticed that someone is connected to PB22, when there is actually not anyone connected - quite the coincidence as I was doing something completely different on the server when I opened the Resource Monitor window. I have no idea who it is, so I cannot give any other hint than that the IP is resolveable, so it gives me the name of the Internet company of whoever it is. The host is host86-134-***-***.range86-134.btcentralplus.com (I have scrambled part of the IP address just in case). If you know that you use btcentralplus as your isp, then take a quick visit here: http://www.whatismyip.com/ and verify that your IP indeed is 86.134.something. If it is, then you possibly didn't quit Civ4 properly - you may have closed the window by pressing the X if you're playing windowed mode, you may have pressed "Exit to Desktop" or you may have pressed Alt-F4 (really, any other option than clicking "Exit to Main Menu" before quitting Civ4), or your game/computer may have crashed before you were able to exit properly. If you did press "Exit to Main Menu" before leaving the game you may have a router configuration problem - we had one player who had a lot of problems with this. Please get in touch with me if you know you did press "Exit to Main Menu" and you are the owner of the IP in question (I have written the entire IP down, so I can confirm that it is you based on what you see on the whatismyip.com website).

Oh, and for the record I saved the game and quit the Pitboss to allow the socket to close, and then reloaded the game - so the socket is closed now. Thus the Civstats outage of about a minute or two.

We were able to resolve the issue without needing a reload. Apologies for the inconvenience to anyone who tried to play tonight but got stuck by the pause. Game is live again.
