The culture visible indicates an Icky city 5S on that grass hill isthmus. Thats mighty dangerous for fledgling tidmuth AND hault, as it assuredly provides passage for boats from ichabods core. And if im ichabod its already clear that you're the top rival. How quickly can you get real defenders in there? Say, sufficient to stop 2 galleys?

Agreed on the danger; my galley is going to be taking up station to watch the canal city there for a while. Real defenders are going to be "more archers" for now, actually...Protective archers in the Hault should have a very good rate of return this side of knights/maces.
That being said, my current read of Ichabod is a bit more defensive here; his power is significantly lower than mine, he's got nearly the same number of cities (next turn we both own nine), and dispositionally I know Ichabod to be very much a planned-war kind of guy. The canal down there seems pretty defensive, to be honest.
Basically, I agree that in an ideal world we'd have more stuff there, right now I'm running the engines at the ragged edge and relying on THH looking tastier.

Flattering, but I havent played since PBEM42 ended last July. Hopefully my reputation is aging better than that of Michael Phelps, but I dont think I'd scare the likes of Joey or TBS these days. Also, if I was Ichabod, there'd be silly, rushed mistakes and an even slower turn pace.
Any sign of that pace improving soon? Its gotta be painful at 3 days per turn.

THH and Pin are both somewhat checked out; they're still very dutiful about playing in their windows, most of the time, but this set has always been rather wobbly on hitting the window times, so we've needed that extra umph to hit the regular pace. Soon as I can afford it, I'll snap up Construction and help relieve Pindicator of his duties, at least.

Elapsed turnaround, ten hours. Let's celebrate by killing 50% of Tecihaucan's garrison flawlessly.
Island Sea looks better and better everyone turn, but it's also a little bit occupied now. Dazed is indulging in some nasty BC era war, but if he's allowed to recover and hit up Code of Laws, he's very much still in this. Winner: Mr. Global Lurkerman! If, you know, either Dazed or THH reported.

No incoming horse archer swarms, I promise Ichabod!
Brendam wasn't nearly distinct enough, so the fishes and fishes and lamb city is Cros-ny-Cuirn now. This is also the very first Buddhism spread of the game. It was, of course and alas, a missionary. Given map size and setup a shrine was never on the roadmap anyway, but yeesh...

Thank you for you donation, barbarians! Have some majorly lost hp in compensation.
The gold from that raze made things simpler to nail the rest of calendar, but we were getting this either way. Finally, I can grow again!

I figured that Pindicator's going to be a unit-spamming problem until he's put down and Ichabod is a huge threat to win the game, so an utterly unsupported reach city with no first ring resources 100% guaranteed to piss of Dazed was just the stuff!

I'm actually a but surprised the city didn't spawn SE, picking up crab and putting corn in first ring. But yeah, that was an easy choice
