Catching up on the thread...war! War everywhere!
 Well, I guess putting up as much of a fight as possible is the way to go. With a total pile on in progress, not sure what else can be done.
I've got a peace treaty with shallow_thought and a cease-fire with Magic Science. OT4E is still pushing forward, though. He's pillaged Urban Guerilla and Rocky Paths, which was conquered by shallow_thought before. In all, the only one to gain a city from me was Charriu. I only have my capital left now, and it looks like OT4E will be the lucky winner. I'm still pumping more archers there, nothing else to do. At least I didn't give all my cities to a single player.

Well, battle on as best as is possible. Make them work for it, at least.
Once the pile on gets rolling, it is hard to reverse the momentum.  Any thoughts about the overall strategic situation, and which of the other players looks to be in the best position?
OT4E gives shallow_thought and Charriu another chance at getting my capital by offering a cease-fire.
How are the other players doing? Shallow_thought is in the score lead, but the rest is very close behind, with the exception of Magic Science. OT4E has the highest production and power at the moment, and also has Praetorians in the field. Shallow_thought does better on the other metrics, though. Maybe OT4E can pump more units and take a bite out of someone else, but if he doesn't think that he can crack my capitol at the moment, then the prospects for that don't look too good. He's not at war with any other player at the moment, so that can't be the reason for the cease-fire. Then there's also the problem that OT4E doesn't seem to have much time, otherwise he wouldn't ask for a sub. There's still no reasonably green player who offered to join, and handing over one of the strongest empires to an experienced player seems very unfair. So at the moment, I'd bet on shallow_thought.
Hopefully that won't happen.
Sorry about the end of turn thing; this past day has been very busy and I had not had time to check RB. So I did not see your message about ending the turn until everything had already gotten sorted out. 
Since the other players are taking their sweet time, I'm making a beeline for monarchy. No idea if I'll ever reach it, but if I do, Hereditary Rule would turn my capital absolutely ecstatic now. More tiles to work means more unit spam! I'm also building a worker to chop down more forests at my capital.
