I have a question though: Once all of your other cities are destroyed, this last one will be uncapturable, right? Or will paratroops be able to raze it?

What if Ruff places a unit on every land tile? Can paratroops land?

Ohh - there is an idea. I should have sent over 4 warriors too. Then I will have the only city that is 100% proof against capture.

That city is a stand alone proposition. I can reinforce it with paratroopers and an enemy can attack it with paratroopers.

I just had a bad thought - what if trade routes don't apply over small lakes!! I rushed back to the game and they do - phew!
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

yes I can - but it will never be a particularly heavy hammer city. And any troops I do build are stuck there. Maybe scouts will do.

Grass-Iron, 3hills & lumbermillable grassforest ... seems like it could do alright if it wanted to. You might want to ensure that the One True Religion makes it there too.... wink

With enough tactical nukes, your 4 warriors will be ashes on which Soooo paratroopers will land easily smile

That's great to know, but I never implied it would be my army that would be conquering India. The Greek army is purely for defensive purposes and the Greeks, like the Indian Empire (see post #218) are a peace-loving civ.

However, with murderous despots on the lose in the west of our highlands, and cities containing thousands of citizens saved only by monks sailing down the river on an Emmentaler raft, it seems prudent to train one's citizens with how to use a rifle.
