Still laying groundwork for my big infrastructure push, but things are looking promising. I think I can nab us the first or second Oxford - depending on how Sulla and Speaker are doing at getting the requisite universities up.

All in all, in decent shape. The only city that is in really bad shape is Crecy. I'm working hard to grow it right now so it can work all the mines in its BFC and whip when education comes online. In Trafalgar, I run into the problem of trying to complete a library and university while building Angkor Wat. Fortunately, the city has the hammer potential to get it all done. Sluys and Abraham plains are building all their infrastructure assisted by chops. With Stone, Oxford is a 5t build in May, 1940, working all the mines. I should have it up sometime between t150 and t155. The globe will be coming online about five turns later - it's a longer build because of the lack of a double resource.

Make sure not to ignore expansion and military too much at this point dave. These are all good and dandy, but the land to settle isn't going to be there forever, and you need units to defend it and workers to improve it.

No worries. I'm still founding a quartet of cities while making this infrastructure push, and maintaining a decent sized military, so they aren't getting ignored.

Built the Academy in May, 1940
I'm now number one in GNP, with 312. At 100% science, I produce about 270 beakers.
I moved my explorer in to get eyes on the Indian town of Cannon Barrage.
Just a workboat was staffing the city. The sheep was not in the exact same location, so I'm guessing it's one tile off. Note the silver in the south, in exactly the same location as mine. One advantage of bombing is that we will deny Team Spullarise one of their sources of silver, presuming they also have two like we do. Why Plako did not give each team three, I don't know.
I'm beginning to think my entire front with Sulla is a mirror, as there is a 1-tile desert island in an equivalent location to Aboukir Bay. The northern land-bridge also looks suspiciously mirrored.
I'm moving my units into his borders into sentry positions around the city, laying a choke of sorts. I'm planning on sticking the longbow on a hill and the mace in a forest behind a river. If I use my FWs right, combined with a pair of workers, I can road right up to the city and bring my one-movers to the attack.
My current plan is to crank out a knight and a pair of catapults for the assault, in addition to the four units already on the ground. If you both could contribute 2-3 knights to be in position for a t145 bomb, we could have a pretty good chance at success. Shoot, if at all possible, gift the knights to WK. He's IMP, so we want him fighting our battles to get a GG out faster.
I need 107 gold from WK to run 100% research.
I'm going to be on the road all day, so could one of you could log in and end turn for me after WK gifts the gold? All my unit moves are done.
Oh, and Shoot, don't forget to turn off your research so we don't complete paper this turn.

Couple thoughts:
I'm not really convinced that is the best use of the artist bomb. We already have a really really good border city there, so it's not like that border is under threat. Further, I'm just not sure razing a size one city is worth using an artist bomb for, especially when there is that wide expanse of grassland to your NE. You guys seem to think we are assured of settling that, but I'm not so sure. That's a lot more land than either WK or I have had uncontested, and I would not be at all surprised to find other teams settling it.
Also, I wouldn't count on knights from me at this point. If I am going to resettle Maurice Levy, most or all of my military production is going to be going to that. Honestly I just don't see this artist bomb as being worth more in what it takes to go into it than aggressively settling your NE, having me settle Maruice Levy again and then continue to expand, build for an assault on Hangzhou (which is a much juicier target), etc. I'm also afraid that between settling NE, that attack, and building infra France may be pulled in too many direction at once, when it may be better to focus on one or two of them and do them well.

Whoa, wait a minute. I don't have any Knights right now, so there's no way I can make some for you without dropping everything I'm doing. For something as small as only taking 1 minor Sulla city, it isn't worth it (yes this is a team game where we help each other, but both Shoot and I have a civ to run to so we can't just easily build you stuff if you need it). I have to agree with Shoot that compared to settling the Jungle in your N, attacking Sulla right now with a bomb is not a good strategy.

Turn 139
Another boring turn in the PB6 world.
Well, actually, I did get to finally kill something this turn
Sank that blasted trireme of Sulla's and ended the blockade at was costing our team ~35 cpt.
Trireme vs. Trireme - 32.2% LOSS!
Galley vs. Trireme (.1) - 99.9% FLAWLESS VICTORY!
My trireme was sunk but knocked Sulla's down to 5 HP.
It was a bit of relief to actually destroy something, because since coming into this game, I've only had my units killed:
Luddite's Warrior kills my Scout
Sulla's Archer kills my Longbow
Thoth's HA kills my Archer
Sulla's Knight kills my Explorer
Sulla's Trireme kills my Trireme
But finally:
Dave's Galley kills Sulla's trireme :2dance:
Yeah, maybe I'm a little happier about that than I should be.
In the southeast, I continue to explorer and the terrian continues to support my thesis of a lightly-edited mirror.
There's no chance of Aboukir Bay falling to Sulla now. If a loaded galley had appeared this turn I would have been in trouble. But as things stand, I can get a longbow in there stat to protect it if threatened.
Next GS is born next turn. I signed Shoot in game to switch to Optics so we don't lose beakers with the bulb.
Angkor Wat started in Trafalgar, it's a 5t build. Should be doable. And if all else fails, we get stone and forge boosted failgold.
And that's about it, I'm prepping to REX into the northeast and prepare for the infrastructure push starting in four turns.
End Turn.

I actually went ahead and put the beakers into nationalism instead of optics just because I figured we are likely to research nationalism before optics. Anyway, could you go ahead and take those signs down for me next time you are in game? Cheers =)

Turn 143
I revolted into OR and slavery on t143, whipping five cities (3 forges, a library and a theatre). Crecy and Quiberon Bay are getting whipped next turn. Here's the domestic advisor at EOT:
The push towards Oxford is coming along nicely.
I founded Dien Bien Phu this turn:
Two more cities being founded in the next four turns. The deforestation of Abraham Plains is almost complete, and all those workers will be moving north to support the new expansion.
End Turn.
