Only wounded units can get healing. You never get the free warrior in an MP game. You can't get a tech if you don't have a city. Only units that can earn XP can pop XP, and never in the first 10 turns of the game. Raging Barbs throws much of that out the window. I exited a pitboss game that way once. Opened a hut on about T4. 7 barb warriors smashed my exploring warrior and made a beeline for my capital. I finished a warrior before they got there. Not that it mattered.
