Nothing interesting happened this turn, but I figured it might be useful to stitch a map of Lazteuqs territory. I was able to gather the unknown parts of his territory thanks to the mirroring of the map and the stuff I know about the islands that everybody has.
I marked all the cities that I knew about or could confirm (like the fur island. He has fur so he must have a city somewhere on that island) with orange dots. The other spots are guesses on my part.

This game truely hates Ramk. Just look where his units teleported to. That's just evil.
Since the former Ramk city is now out of rebellion I figured I can rename it. Zeal is of course one of the towns in Chrono Trigger. You discover it late in the game. As for the reason why it's so great. It resides on flying islands; is full of magic using people; has some deeper lore with the struggle between Earthbound Ones and the people of Zeal and of course it deepens the story so much more. Did I also mention that the music is great, but that's already expected since it is Chrono Trigger. Zeal has also a special place in my heart, because ever since I found this image some ten years ago it always was and will be my desktop background.

Other then that I met TBS this turn, I have this feeling that this map might be torodial since his workboat came from the east? We'll see if my scoutboat can confirm that. I also finish Currency this turn. Yeah!

I researched Currency this turn increasing my trade income from 63 -> 108.
Could I have researched Currency sooner. Probably. But where is the fun in that and my tech rate wasn't that bad thanks to my holy city. In 4 turns I will get my next Great Person. Hopefully a Prophet (75%) so that I can bulb Divine Right. Until then I collect money, while researching Horseback Riding. The Prophet won't be able to bulb Divine Right completely, so I want to be able to make the final push for Divine Right with some money in the bank. Also I don't need Horseback Riding that soon.

Cornflakes built the Sistine Chapel. If it wasn't clear that he attempts a culture victory now it is. In other culture related news I spread Hinduism to Fireburg to get my last island tile back. I also noticed that Persepolis (the island wine city) is not producing culture so far. Maybe I can flip that city, but I doubt that that will happen.
As you can see I also switched into OR again, mainly to Hagia Sophia done 1 turn earlier and so that all the new cities get their essential buildings done, now that they are all Hinduism (except for one). I'm growin all my cities as fast as possible and I expect to have 99 population in total, when the Great Person spawns. That should give me 1797 beakers towards Divine Right and I can research the rest of 363 beakers easily.

No image today, because I'm at my parents and only have a laptop that to my surprise is still working.
First Ramk declared war and offered another cease fire this turn. I suspect he used that to teleport some units again, which he did use in the past. I accepted the cease fire and offered open borders, a gift of 1 iron and the gift of 1 fur back to Ramk to support his war efforts. The best possible way of lend and least in the game.
I then thought about something that might be the beginning to some crazy turns in the Mjmd vs Ramk conflict. You remember that after taking Zeal Ramk's unity were teleported to one of my unoccupied islands. Now I do have 2 tiles on that island in my border and on the 3rd tile are his units. It just so happened that I'm moving a galley with 2 swordsmen up to the Lazteuq border for any future conflict. What I did is landing those units on the same tile with Ramk's units. In theory if Ramk now declares war again, his units will be teleported again, possible to my main land and the 2 unclaimed tiles there. If he then accepts peace and open borders he can move those units through my territory to hit Mjmd from an angle he doesn't suspect.
Now I have to admit that this plan has some risks involved for me. I don't know if Ramk will do something that causes damage to my economy and I also thinkt that Mjmd won't like this move. But then again this is such a rare opportunity for a crazy move that I couldn't resist seeing what happens next.
Now the only question is if Ramk will notice my unity there before they have to border my galley next turn again.

I have to say I'm getting a bit annoyed by the turn pace. So far I see that TBS is taking very long to play his turn each round and Commodore has to play after him. This turn started on 10.07. at 16:30, so 41 hours ago. Nobody can argue that the turn rolled at a misfortunate time, since it's 41 hours ago. Is this just a two party war or are there multiple parties involved, who force TBS to play later? I don't want to gain any advantage in-game. I just want to understand why it is taking so long.
Since I only miss 3 contacts (one of them Commodore) I guess I should be able to see, which whom TBS is in a war. I have to check that in-game, but last time I think I saw that TBS is not in a war with anybody else.

I did not think I would live to see that day, but we have another turn. But to be fair I just learned that Superdeath is also involved with the turnsplit around Commodore and TBS. Now everything makes sense.
I discovered a well promoted galley from Ramk and at first I panicked thinking he might take back Zeal or even worse goes for Parcelyte. But then I thought that he may just want to bring back those teleported units. By the way if you haven't noticed already, Ramk did not notice the teleporation opportunity for his units or didn't take it. I borded the units back in and moved them towards Parcelyte just to be sure.
I also looked up, who else is supporting Ramk in his war effort and to my surprise on our continent I am the only one supporting him. Lazteuq not helping him is really suprising. The only other player supporting Ramk (with horses) is civac. Yes, I know I took an island from Ramk, but other then the fur I also offered him iron, which he declined and I would say helped him a lot with "moving" units.
I also got an offer of world map for world map from mackoti. I declined at first, but then offered it back with a tiny demand of 50 gold from him. I somewhat doubt he takes it, but figured why not try to make a bit of money from it. But knowing other players they will just trade him their maps without additional trade attachments. He is the only player with paper so far, has no religion and is in a war with Mr. Cairo, so he may not go for University of Sankore.
Other important stuff is that Hagia Sophia will finish in 2 turns and of course I will spawn my (hopefully) next great prophet. I also moved a galley west in case it turns out to be a great Merchant and I want to ship him to Miguelito/Rusten cities. Oh and the teleported works are finishing a fort this turn on my horse island. Thanks a lot for that.

I've got the Great Prophet, but to my disapointment it only gave 1198 of 2160 beakers to Divine Right. Have to check my sources or better the sourcecode how the bulb amount is calculated. Curious Civplayer segment incoming.
Still I used the Prophet for the bulb. Could have saved it to build the Islamic shrine when I get it, but getting there is more important and the shrine won't be worth as much as the Hindu one. With the saved money it is only 3 turns to Divine Right as you can see.
Ramk did not have any bad intensions and only wants to transport his units.
I also got an open border deal from Lazteuq, which I declined. As you know I want to attack him in the future and keeping up the fake "I'm still mad at you" behavior is worthwhile.
Most importantly after the Great Person is that I finish Hagia Sophia this turn. I think I will get it. Then it's 2 turns of something whipable in Amn and on to Spiral Minaret.

I got Hagia Sophia last turn and I'm bound to be the first at Divine Right giving me an excellent shot at Spiral Minaret, if no Great Engineer shenanigans happen. Everything is setup in Amn to build it. I switched into Slavery to whip additional hammers into the wonder and 3 forests can be chopped immediately next turn.
Civac came up with an offer of he 30gpt vs me 250 gold. I thought a moment about it and took the deal. Reason for my thinking was that I do want to research Feudalism in 3 turns after Divine Right, which I can still do with the 30 gpt. So I took the deal. As for why I'm going for Feudalism next. I do want to be able to switch into Vassalage with the next civic swap in 5 turns.
Also also. Frozen came up with a world map vs world map deal. Now this time instead of asking for money I took the deal. Main reasons were:
- by now his map must be worth more then mine (which it is)
- this may be an opportunity to get visibility on Lazteuq
- I fear Frozen less then mackoti
- Frozen may already have dealt maps with Lazteuq, so that Lazteuq won't get visibility on me
Turns out this was a great deal for me. As you can see one of my early assumptions was wrong. This is not a tilted axis map, but rather a torodial. I suspected as much since TBS contacted me coming from the east. This of course means negating trade to Lazteuq did not work that great. On the other hand having this map ensures me that I will still get my trade income even if I am at war with Mjmd. As you can see my prediction of Lazteuq's city spots were quiet good. Only 3 cities were palced wrongly by me. Of course this map will help me greatly in an upcoming war. Lazteuq also finished a golden age without switching any civics. He has machinery by now, because he has watermills. Big question though is did he attempt to go for guilds to attack me with knights? I couldn't find a workshop in his territory to confirm this. So far his power didn't indicate a knight rush and even then my phalanxes are better against knights then regular spearman, so I'm definitely the more spike target compared to GKC.
Also on a minor note, my city Snowdin Town will pop borders this turn, but Lazteuq's wine city should be safe for a culture flip, because Bottlenose provides culture on the city tile. But good thing Taoism spread to the wine city as that won't provide culture to the city.
Plan for the near future is to finish spiral minaret and in the meantime research Feudalism->Horseback Riding->Guilds. By my estimates I will finish techs at these times.
Divine Right = T138
Feudalism = T141
Horseback Riding = T143
Guilds = T150ish?

I'm starting to get more and more annoyed at TBS. What is stopping him from playing his turn. Superdeath, who has to play before him, is playing fairly fast and since Superdeath has finished his turn ca. 35 hours have passed. I find it hard to believe that it is not possible to play a turn in that time even with a large empire as his. So what's the problem for TBS to play.
Lovely lurkers do you see a solution for this problem?
