You could try personal message here and/or CFC. If you want you could also send your MSN ID to me and I'll forward it to Elkad so he can add you to his contact list. Maybe short message from you would be also good idea.

Even though you have a turn split (or do you?) you could log in and catch him on chat in-game... Or just send him a diplo screen with a message.
I have to run.

Indeed. smile

Well Twinkletoes seems to be carrying on from where Daniel left off regarding siding with me and also seems to be making progress negotiating a 'gang up on Rego' alliance. Of course this could all be smokescreens and I'm next to get squished but I would be surprised if that was the case. He is probably genuine.

In fact I would even give up The Courthouse to Elkad and give him whatever guarantee of safety he wants in exchange for a large chunk of his standing army just to add to mine and Daniel's numbers.
Well, looks like this is happening. Though I have to give up The Theatre as well. Not terribly happy with the deal but there is no alternative. And if Rego is succesfully invaded, then my chances for winning this game suddenly become non-zero.

Has he agreed to send you his army also? Or are those the terms for peace?

Not to me but to be used against Rego at least.

Brief update:

I'm currently fairly low in score but I think the Lins would be willing to give me the two technologies that they have.

I am currently allied with virtually everyone in the game against Rego in particular (and Sunrise by association). I have a massive army right now, mostly stationed along Rego's border. I'm number 2 in power, only slightly behind Rego himself (presumably) but the armies of the alliance against him well outnumber his and we should also have a technological edge.

The whole reason for this alliance because Rego has just made a few too many opportunistic proposals/blackmails. He's managed to piss everyone off quite a bit.

Regretably, I had to give up The Courthouse and The Theatre to Elkad in order to get him onside and avoid wasting a large portion of both our armies against each other.

I believe the assault on Rego presents a reasonably good opportinity as I am in the best position to make territorial gain against him. Green Township, in particular, is the best city on the whole map and is within bombing distance.

Nukes will shortly be in play and things could get messy but Rego will be much more damaged than anyone and if we can get a pre-emptive hit, we can all but eliminate Rego's ability to tech and retaliate.

The reason I'm withdrawing from the game is because while I can quietly manage my empire, add loads of units to the queues, etc, I just don't have the time to conduct a proper military campaign.

So to anyone thinking of taking over, while you have the opportunity switch sides as you see fit (there are no actual agreements tying you down), should you choose to continue in the direction I was going, if you like big messy modern military campaigns, the next 10+ turns will be a lot of fun.
