Damnit, I can't open the save. When I try to load it, it crashes and exits. I'm using the (now legal) version from GamersGate, might that be the problem?

I take it my late avatar had crappy stats too, from having to lead the charge and the misses of course. lol

And yes, I highly recommend going down the noble gas group for future iterations!

What exactly does DPL stand for? Deep [sea] plasma launcher or something?

Have you got XComUtil installed ? Is it the latest version ? Those would be the most likely issues as the save is OK for me. See the beginning of the thread for XComUtil settings.

Actually from memory your firing accuracy is pretty poor (44?) but its improving with practise. Lots of point blank shots help lol as does a bit of luck - and your avatar certainly seems to be lucky so far.
