First off, here is Marblehead ...



I spent some time checking other people's city count to find ...

BGN has 5, up from 4 last turn.
Q has 4, up from 3 last turn.
Cale has 4, up from 3 last turn.

Either my memory is shit (as in I cannot remember the last time I checked city counts) or T71 was a mad turn for cities.

BGN and Q had a bit of a spat ... but it was only over border crossing (BGN has a scout in the area. I also moved my chariot east ...



Ohhh - is that Q's 2nd city (as indicated)? I put the guess there based on the peak being in Qs borders (and the pastured sheep that isn't in #3 BFC.

While I am guessing about city locations ... here is where I think his 4th city is ...

So ... was my first Q city guess from last turn correct?



Yes. Guarded by a fully fortified warrior. I wonder what sort of odds a chariot gets against such a warrior.



Answer - not to good. The difference is that the 'go to mode' routine wasn't factoring in the cross river attack.

So ... Mr Chariot moves on as does my Woodie II warrior ...



Meanwhile, I have a warrior playing zone defense against the barb warrior ...

Turn 73 - 1080 BC

BGN settled another city. Also ... why am I getting a trade route icon with dtay? Those arrows are trade routes ... aren't they?



I am still trying to work out my next tech. Here are the options ... one to give my forest chopping a boost and the other to bring forges on line. Either way, I need 3 or 4 turns more of gold before I commit.



Finally ... so much for unlocking my Woodie II warrior to go walk abouts. Seems the barbs had other ideas. I moved my chariot into range of the bear and pulled my warrior back west 1 tile. Hopefully, both barbs will move NW and then I can kill the bear with my chariot and run past the warrior with my Woodie II warrior.

I believe those arrows are to indicate that you have a "trade connection" to him. Which means you can trade resources and if you have open borders and have defogged a route you can get foreign trade routes.

I think it is a bug as I haven't even met him yet (thus the '?').

means you have a defoget trade route with him, i seen this many times.

I forgot to mention ... the above barb moved due west onto the newly regrown forest. My zone defense warrior remains unmoved pending indications on where the barb will actually go.
