Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

[spoilers] Commodore and Dtay are Sitting Bull of Inca, somehow.

Such a physics things "ehh, it's larger than 5, let's pretend it's infinitely large".

Whip HtE settler next turn? Lose the mine and then the cottage, shifting it to cobra to replace the grassland forest it's working now.

I think a map trade came through between your screenshot and my login. Didn't notice until now so didn't take a shot, but our planned island city is actually on a continent with Gavagai, and there's also what looks like a pretty decently sized island (could fit over 5 cities) south of our current island spot that appears unconnected to any continent, pretty much right between us and Gav.

If we can get most/all of that island thing, that's be amazing.

I think your "Gav" is actually Elkad...orange Dutch, not Carthage. You buried the lede there too...with that map trade, either us or one of our weaker rivals (Pink Dotted hard by India already) get circumnavigation!

Orange vs. orange, like the TN vs. Auburn game...

Oops yeah, that's Elkad.

Think the islands can tide us over until knights? Settle around there, get to knights, and go conquer presumably HAK?

Donovan is from the school of Azza? Who knew! Such a waste of fast workers tho.

Top of the score board, woot! jive

Love the retep border, and with him having to rex that big back lines, should be a peaceful border for a while... if he does you the favor if crashing his economy, that's even better!

nod I really really do, particularly as it's basically Sailing, Math, Currency, the directly to Guilds. Target TBD...

mischief Elkad, HAK, and Retep are all fine candidates depending on their tech status. It's a race!

By the way, culture shows who the "Grimace" of the other continent is...GermanJoey (Genghis/France)! Yeah, I strongly suspect this continent is turning French Blue by the end of this. Definitely need to claim Elkad's island/peninsula before that happens.

So the HAK is Borche or Gavagai...who knows where the random ninth player is.

I am playing "not Pro" in PBEM 64. I don't think I'll make that mistake again. Fast granaries > everything. Blackcollar got a chop, and will work the horse one turn, then complete it next turn back on the wheat. Perfectly timed completion for full food, no time delayed on the growth...man I love this.

Also Inca, but meh. No need to pop this one's borders.

I took some time this turn and dropped some planage. We're a little more farmers gambity than I prefer, but all I've seen are warriors and axes out of the neighbors so a floating chariot or two (horse online!) ought to ensure our safety for now. Plus side of the cramped map? Barbarians are more or less moot as an issue now.

Heir to the Empire in three turns, then Spinneret in two more, decent.

Oh, an aside, looks like %water is under the c-nav threshold. No biggie.

Grumble. Shouldn't have said it about the barbs; we're delayed by a turn, good thing we're finishing that axe. Anyway, we'll live.

Could be worse. Could be bears.

So map trading is ubiquitous given we're all about at Writing, and, um...

Not sure if it's fair, but damned if it ain't pretty.

I see Heir to Empire has been settled, so I guess Spinneret should be planted very shortly. What are the near-term plans after that?
How are demos looking?

After playing PB18 with no map trading I've forgotten how early you can get good map visibility.

Fair? Heh, I'll bet there's at least two or three coal resources on this map! neenerneener
