Quote:Current situation is Raskol is attacking TBW and hopefully TBW can slap his mighty Boudicca wang at Raskol's stack and stand his ground. Incase he cant, im prepared to backstab Raskol and eliminate his entire stack... just not REAL soon.

When are you thinking? / in what circumstances?

Well Raskol has yet to move in with his stack yet, and every turn he waits is another turn where i pull further and further ahead thanks to my enormous lead in the demos.

If raskol sends everything in, and starts bombarding... thats when i hope to smack his stack. After TBW hits it of course.

What are everyone's odds of/path to victory?

Unless we get a NAP backstab, i put us in a 95% chance of victory. ( outside of weird/bad sportsman kingmaker plays... )

TBW is out of the running and has no chance, he had Boudicca of America with a wonder-whoring india as a neighbor.. Why he didnt rush him with either woody2 swords/axes, or barracks enabled double promo HA's ( last i remember ) is beyond me.

Mr.Cairo would have had a high chance of winning had TBW attacked Raskol early on so that Cairo would have a bunch of extra room to expand/maybe a weak neighbor or two to take out. Right now though, i feel he would need to get a solid/long NAP with GKC and then slam into Raskol once the inevitable stack vs stack happens and we wipe or TBW wipes Raskol's forces. Looks like he will clash with GKC soon. And hopefully he defends well enough that GKC and Cairo both get dragged down for easy mop up later.

GKC is in a solid 3rd place until raskol's stack dies. Then we basically just need to make sure we stay ahead of them in boat production, and keep a NAP with them and we will outpace them. GKC picked AGG Rome, and i dont know if he really got much use out of those praets. Even the "threat" of them didnt seem to get him too much more land, other than apparently a TON of islands as he has seemingly settled a city every couple of turns.

Raskol played a wonderful early game, and didnt get called on his gambit(s) by his MAX AGGRESSION neighbor, and is now slamming into said neighbor during the new height of Indian dominance... Medieval. The Indian UU is a 8st pike. Thats a knight killer if i ever saw one. Shit, that would make Cuirs/Cataphacts a bit scared imo. His culture is about his only chance of victory, but i have a bit of a long winded plan that i wont post that would take care of that issue.

So anyway... 90-95%- US. 5% split between GKC and Raskol with 0% chance of winning for TBW and Cairo.

We snuck in and grabbed the music artist that surprisingly had been left alone till now. Now we have some nice plans to chain golden ages or at least get pretty close. . 2man-3man-Taj? MHMMM.

We will eliminate Gavagai Sitting Bull next turn. Unless we get horrible luck with 4 c2 knights vs 1 longbow ( or 2... banghead  )

Sorry for so few updates in the thread. Im sure that very soon we will have PLENTY of pictures and other fun stuff to post about when Raskol continues his attack on TBW's SoZ city of cancer. Will we help him destroy the stack? Will we eat everyone with amphibious grenadiers? Stay tuned!

Well i did say i would update the thread when something fun is about to happen....

WELL. Fun is happening VERY soon. Possibly some tilting, possibly some bad luck. Stay tuned.

Lets start off with the less fun part of this update:

We did manage to rid the world of the Natives. Looks like there is at least 1 more city to the west to settle too!

Eagle eyed folks might be able to see why this screenshot is important.

Other stacks in spoiler:

Could you post a screenshot of the victory conditions advisor with your current land/pop percentages?

The game is poised for a lot of blood.  popcorn Either Raskol will crush TBW's forces and roll over him or TBW destroys Raskol's stack and takes back what is his. Meanwhile Generalkillcavalry and Mr Cairo are pointing their own armies at each other with a clash due any moment. So how can we get involved in the fun?

At this point it looks like we have two paths to victory:

The first is to wipe Raskol's stack while he's attacking TBW, stopping our only realistic challenger in his tracks. From there we just have to use our land advantage to out-tech and out-produce our rivals.

The second path is to take a small bite from TBW to stop raskol capturing enough cities to be competitive with us and create a crumple zone on that border, then run back-to-back peaceful golden ages to get past the era where the urruku pike is relevant.

The first path is likely to lead to an earlier concession, but if we do it before Cairo and GKC destroy each other's armies it comes with the risk that we splinter our old coalition, make everyone declare on us and get dogpiled out of the game (GKC is our only official nap at the moment, so he shouldn't get distracted from fighting Cairo, but if it's the end of the game perhaps he will). The second path feels like the safe route, but it's not so much fun. Which way will we go?

Looking like the 2nd path.

Here you can see that Raskol has backed off. I can only assume that TBW has told him of our plans in order to maybe survive a little bit longer? Worst case scenario ( i moved our units back to our border city ) TBW and Raskol make peace and then play Kingmaker ( in my opinion ) and both send their stacks our way. That would singlehandely give the game to GKC... imo.

Provided that Raskol believes TBW enough  ( probably with a screenshot from TBW showing our stack in his land or something to that degree ) to back off like he did, but NOT enough to make peace but instead eat smaller cities of TBW's.. Ive got the plan to raze TBW's 2 closest border cities with us next turn. Gives us plenty of warning of any pending attack from this direction, gives Cahokia a solid food tile, and maybe pulls Raskol back into our little happy family?

Also we got some more islands to settle:
