These do not (both cases where you say "demand" are not really demands, they are voluntary trades) :
- Receiving an offer of a resource for nothing, which you then accept
- Demanding a 1:1 trade resource, which is then accepted
- Receiving an offer for a 1:1 trade resource, which you then accept
- Demanding an inequal trade of say 1:2 resources, which is then accepted
- Receiving an offer for an inequal trade of say 1:2 resources, which you then accept
- Receiving a gold offer which is accepted
Does that answer your question, Sciz?

Yes I believe so. Huh if I enter a trade I don't even need to wait 10 turns. That's good to know. I'll probably take the trade. It helps him, but it also helps me and it helps me avoid suspicion.

Barnaxus has taken his first combat promotion, but now there are no barbarian units in sight. So he moves northwest to see if there's anything to fight there:
Nothing yet, but the lands here do look good, so this could be a potential city site unless Mist takes it first. Not really sure what to do with Barnaxus now though, as I can't find any barbs and I can't just rely on that barrow spawning more skeletons soon.
A skeleton, a bear and a baby spider show up northeast of Mutanbo when I send the turn on. I can send Barnaxus there, but the skeleton will definitely already be dead when Barnaxus gets there, and the bear will probably have scampered off.

Don't send Barnaxus too far from your borders until he has an honour guard. If you really need experience you could explore the barrow... but that too requires an honour guard to avoid disaster. I don't think that barrow will spawn any more skeletons though, since its in your cultural borders.
Heading over to kill those barbs north of Muntanbo is probably the best bet. Maybe ask your neighbours if they have any barbs they could point you to? We really need to get to at least combat 2 by the Ilios war.
We had definitely better scout out that new flood plain area. Why were we so scared of it before? Oh yeah. Hiding from the Doviello. Well, I think we should be at least a match for them militarily by now, so finding new city sites would be good. I'm seriously wondering what the hell those wolfmen are doing. We should have detected some ripple of their activities by now... Is this a Doviello civ that isn't trying an early rush? How bizarre. I'd say send something expendable to scout out the desert, and make contact so we can see their graphs.

Yeah that's a good idea, problem is that I don't have any units to spare right now. I've got 3 warriors in CV, 2 in Ithralia and 3 in Mutanbo, and a new city coming very soon. That city will need two warriors for garrison, which will make it two in every city. I really don't want to spend production in Mutanbo and Ithralia on warriors, even though if it's only a turn or two missed, that could be a wood golem or catapult less in the end.
Maybe the new city can make a warrior or two as its first builds, before moving onto sculptor's studios. Of course the hammers will be awful there, but that's life.
I'll definitely shoot uberfish a mail about barbarians I can train on near him though.

Btw i'm certain that the barrow still spawned skeletons after Ithralia's borders expanded over it, because that was a long time ago, and the latest skeletons were produced pretty recently.

Uberfish said he saw some bears to the west of me, so that's something, though they are pretty strong (base 5 strength right?). I'm gonna need a warrior or two to follow along with Barnaxus before he heads further west I think.

Seems like we've got a shortage of disposable units, and a heavy need for them.

Hm. Did a test game a while back to get a rough idea of how long it would take to get Barnaxus from 0-26xp based on Barrows farming alone. But I scuppered it because it seemed like the barrow stopped spawning units after a 20 turn dry spell that occurred after it came into cultural radius. Maybe I just got unlucky.

Yeah im trying to decide if it's worth it or not to spend a few turns on some warriors and maybe a scout for better movement.

Couple of stuff this turn:
Barnaxus went one tile northwest, and found Mist's borders. I'm not going further west though, because a skeleton spawned in the barrow again! So back there for Barnaxus. The warrior south of the barrow is 18 exp Michelangelo, with a promotion in hand. He will be one of Barnaxus's groupies. There is a bear to the west that I might have Barnaxus try to kill later, it's 5 strength with no promotions, so if he gets on the flood plains Barnaxus should have decent odds, and it should give some good exp.
Anyways i've decided that Ithralia will create some warriors after that settler is done. That might mean one less catapult or so, but I really need some more disposable units, especially since when I cast Gifts of Nantosuelta I'm gonna have to delete three warriors, since they will be carrying the hammers to Mutanbo, and I need to delete them to be able to settle them as engineers.
Also Ilios founded his fourth city this turn.
