i have not simmed it, but i think the trade routes follow same criteria as building galleys. ergo, no.

Eh, figured as much. It's going to be a bit of a choice here. I'm thinking either on the suggested flood plain, the horses for a 2-hammer plant, or 1W of horses. It's hard, not entirely sure what the best plan is.
General overview of my empire, sucker is getting big. I'm doing pretty good, although notably I'm still losing 143 gpt at 100% science. South Core West Fun times!

Spot the two mistakes: I cant be sure, but it appears your fish are not being worked... or the boat is behind the resource icon. Also, i would have grown Hippo at least to size 2 before going max hammer. Commodore Wrote:Spot the two mistakes: You know you're going to get 5 mistakes pointed out, right? ![]()
I have to run.
Hah, well, Davy got one, me stupidly not resetting to 0% after checking on some research rate questions. The other was me screwing the pooch with Mermaid's galley build, I let it slop over the 2-pop while threshold, losing me 44 adjusted hammers on the Moai Stones. Ah well. Hippocampus, at least, has a reason...until I get my workers over there, the mine is the only improved tile it can work.
I'm finally clearing jungles, which is nice. My little GP farm site is getting up to speed slowly but surely, and a rice farm helps. Sphinix is also growing with the extra food granted by having a dry rice tile, it's not much but it's going to be enough to let it work all four mines. Naga here is probably going to run 4 specialists with a marketplace next. The nice little new city of Faun was born in an annoying-to-Gaspar (but not cripplingly so) site up north. Deer, horses, and a ton of river cottages is the plan for this little beauty. Should be fun. I'm debating changing the name to Harpy though. I'll have Calendar next turn, and with Gaspar and I both at 100% right now I have a very slight GNP edge. I'd be more excited if it wasn't me research a tech he's had for the last twenty turns. ![]()

If it makes it any easier for you in the future, there's not much reason to put more than one turn into the galley. Getting more overflow is pretty much equivalent to just putting hammers into Moai in the first place. The only difference is, since the city's producing 3 base hammers, you're only barely missing the OR bonus, so you do get a couple extra hammers by consolidating several turns of production into galley overflow.
Some more mistakes (:neenernee): You founded the Hippocampus spot too soon. You named a city "Hippocampus". SevenSpirits Wrote:If it makes it any easier for you in the future, there's not much reason to put more than one turn into the galley. Getting more overflow is pretty much equivalent to just putting hammers into Moai in the first place. The difference between whipping sooner vs later is that the city stays at a larger size working more tiles for the extra turns before whipping. Not a big difference here since Mermaid would just be working coast, but if it were something like floodplains cottages, you do want to delay that whip. Any reason you don't have "Show detailed city bars" turned on? Might have helped notice the missed whip point. Quote:You founded the Hippocampus spot too soon. That's actually true... I was going to point that out as a mistake, that Hippocampus doesn't have any improved tile to work after the granary finishes. |
