Sorry I haven't been around for a lot chat/discussion or full input in the thread the last 24 hours. Busy day yesterday. I should be around plenty this afternoon and a good bit tonight.
In the meantime, I agree with sending the warrior back to the choke spot. Chopping the forest towards Oracle is a great plan, imo. Revolting next turn and growing is also good with me.
For city #3 I'd like to push west, but not sure that I want to go all the way to the choke city yet. I'm not committing but I like the city on the north side (1S of mountain) that gets sheep and fish.
Really want that WB after the warrior in SoF to get more scouting done!

No problem - I try to avoid poking too much on chat since I know you've been busy lately.

I like that too. Honestly, crabs + sheep city is nice too - that's two 4F tiles which is decent, and the crabs becomes 5F soon since we'll want the Trading Post built.

Yep. What we find north will probably dictate our settling strategy. We can always swap soon as we'll have enough hammers into the warrior to swap back if need be.

I cancelled two worker actions because they'll have better things to do than road. This way we won't forget. The worker 1N of the PH can move onto the hill and start mining (the other work will finish the road on the PH during the next turn). The worker on the FP can start a cottage since Pottery will come in. I forgot to mark the two tiles with road signs tho so I'll have to do that next turn when i log in.

Agreed on all counts. I logged in and added some signs. Also left a comment on the worker near the copper since I don't think roading the pigs is super necessary at the moment.
Also, don't forget to revolt to Rep if you play next turn. Should've left a sign for that too.
Edit: as I post this, Azza plays the turn. So I'll go ahead and do what you've said now so we don't forget anything.

So I moved the warrior and set tech to AH. By chat I believe we tentatively agreed on AH->Writing->Mono->Sailing. So that's the plan right now. Warrior status
I revolted to Representation:
Um, maybe we shouldn't have hooked copper? See:
Yeah our warrior got upgraded. Was kinda banking on sinking hammers only into warriors. Forgot that it just takes Hunting + copper to obsolete them. Sigh. Um, swap to work boat time? Worker actions:
Went with your plan. Roaded hill, sunk 1T into a mine, began cottage. The one thing you didn't mention is the fourth worker. We definitely don't need health right now with a couple sources (soon to add another) + fresh water, so I waited on the pigs. Instead, I figured we can get the other cottage started at least. So as to not waste a worker turn, I then sunk a road into that grassland tile. The second mine won't be used before those 2 workers finish it, so that's not a high priority really. So I'm suggesting go ahead and start the second cottage next turn. That work? Or you have a better idea?
Oh, and uh, we are now on top of the scoreboard. GAME OVER.

I hate that warrior->spear upgrade. in my SP games, most of the spears I build are because of that stupid auto-upgrade...

Um, we gotta do priesthood first. I thought our discussion yesterday was about AFTER priesthood. I'd still like to chase the Oracle.

Fortunately, we're revolting so we have a turn to decide.

The behavior is intentional, so that you can't be prebuilding an army of to-be-axemen before you start hooking up copper. Chariots don't upgrade to HAs for the same reason, no prebuilding while researching HBR.

I think it's a reasonable upgrade from a game perspective. It's just annoying that we didn't think about that before building a road to connect our copper. I'm tempted to have a unit go pillage the road. Wait... we don't have any units!
