Time to start. After few rounds of simming, it seems like normally we lose 2 cats + 5-6 Maces. 4 or less we got lucky 7 or more and we got screwed.

I checked our GG point accumulation. Current tally is 24/30, so just couple of wins needed to get one. I'm really hoping it is spawned close by.

2*Barrage cats go in 1st:
* Odds are 3.1% of withdrawal. The attacked Knight down to 7.4 health - 6 units suffering from collateral. 1 Knight in full health. LOSS
* 2nd battle 4.1% odds of whitdrawal. LOSS

You can also see that they didn't promote all their Knights. Big bonus for us.

Maces going in

~30% odds (unpromoted - I'm sparing combat I maces to battles ~70-80% range) - gets good amount of hits in (2.2 health Knight) LOSS
~30% LOSS (almost killed Knight)
47% LOSS
47% LOSS

Not looking too good

47% WIN (finally)
73.6% (Combat I) WIN
73.6% (Combat I) LOSS
86.7% (Combat I) WIN (berserker)

After this over 99% odds so clean up. Chariot does the final kill.

I realized that I didn't remember to follow where GG is spawn. Found it from Caipirinha. Current Great General tally is 36/60 so probably doesn't take long to get next one.

I'm pretty happy how things did go. Just 5 dead Maces was better than average result I think.

I decided to go for cat killing. 3 battles won. I also decided to use our GG to get spear upgraded to pike for free and give 3 maces 2 promos alongside with the pike. I left 1 promo ungiven to Pike so that we can give the +1 mobility, if that makes sense at some point.

edit. As a bonus we got Deer as workable tile smile.

Final situation before ending turn. Even before the end turn builds finishing we've surpassed Gillette in power.

I decided to go against the 3 Knight stack visible in the 1st shot.

It didn't go well. Lost cat+3 maces. We got unlucky this time. It should have been cat+2 maces.

Some parts of our land. They moved the big stack forward and captured and kept the 2 workers. I'll try to accumulate ~10 cats that should make it profitable to attack against it even on defensive terrain. That shouldn't take long. In the north I finished Castles on Ramune and HN. TEAM does not even have Construction so I'm pretty certain their attack stack will be just a bunch of Knights.

Graphs after ending turn. I didn't remember to take them while playing.

In the sea we've 5 triremes (1 was finished in WR this turn and 4 is stacked alongside with galley to prevent movement towards Weissbier). Upgrade to Caravel is pretty cheap so we've a decent shot to attack their sea units a turn after, if they don't retreat or attack and kill our triremes.

It seems like Gillette hadn't yet ended turn when Novice took his shots. Here is a shot showing the latest positionings. If they continue in flat land we might be able to hit it in the turn after the current one. We'll be a bit short on cats, but should be able to fix that with few extra maces. The amount of serius defensive units is quite limited in that stack.

In the sea just upgrading to Caravels whatever we can is probably the way to go.

They also killed 2 maces in the flat land (NE from their main stack) and got their 1st GG.

I did set Drama as next tech, even if I don't belive we can adopt Representation profitably. Just too much unhappiness. Concerning Great Persons they're pretty far HN has just about 70 points and capital ~350 points and we need 900 for our next guy.

We could hit their sea stack with 2 Caravels and unless I get very lucky meaning almost intact Caravels, but 3rd one protecting hopefully victorious Caravels (odds are not great ~75%). Other alternative is to start collecting bigger stack. Main problem is that their Caravels will soon start running circles around us having 5 movement points.

We probably don't have enough to hit thier land stack in defensive terrain. Also We need to carefully think if we can safely enough attack Katana and how much forces we can concentrate there. I think 4 cats + 7maces + 1 pike should be enough. They even moved 2 more Knights on their land stack.
