Just as a totally friendly reminder ... Im not sure I ever got Sian's save, and I certainly have not gotten a new Primepolar save since the one I sent on.

Or in other words, I cannot play until I am sent a 'new' save.

Well, the tracker says Ryan has the save. Was Tasunke never properly added to the tracker?

Things don't happen automatically. The tracker can't be set up until you've clicked the accept link. That doesn't mean it happens by itself once you've clicked it.

I've added Tasunke to the tracker now, both to the tracker page at http://mistbinder.org/tracker/tracker.php?game=ffh26 and to the forwarding rules in the rbffh26@gmail.com account.

So if everybody keeps playing their saves and emailing them to the tracker account, you might all see turn 2 some day. smile
I have to run.

I can only hope. The tracker still says it's the Ryan/Tasunke team, and since it sounds like both of you possess the save in some fashion (but can someone check if the save Ryan has is the right one??), will either of you be able to play it in the near future?

In Tasunke's spoiler thread, he said he was being prompted for a password when he opened the save. I bet you have the Overwritten save bug.

Reading what novice posted in general forum, it does seem like the overwrite bug, so we probably need to start again. And if we are starting again, I wonder -

I would also not be against them being the primary player.

Ryan has withdrawn from the game, and he was the initial player. So in all fairness to Tasunke, we should get a sub to fill in. We seem to be forcing him to play this alone, when he probably (haven't read the lurker thread) started out as a ded-lurker.

About this:
* If we find a sub willing/wishing to play Tebryn of Sheiam, fine
* If not, how hard is it to alter the initial/current save - from Sheiam to (whatever the sub wants to play)? Need to start up from scratch (haha) or can do it on the fly?
* What is Tasunke's feeling about a sub becoming promary player and wanting to switch the civ?

Reason is, I think it is easier for a player to get involved if he can take the reins from the start. It will not be a sub, really, as we haven't started yet. I suspect just filling and continuing someone else's work might hold less interest than having full creative control.
However perhaps Tasunke started following Ryan because of the Civ choice, and would therefore not be happy with a change.

So I propose a Player/Sub - wanted post, saying that we either want a helper to lead Tebryn of Sheaim to victory, or someone who can challenge Hippus, Balseraphs, Sidar and Ljosalfar for world hegenomy with his own special breed.
(He would get last choice, but be compensated by knowing who he will be up against...not leaders, just civs.)

Thoughts? Especially from Tasunke, if you have time to play regularly when the saves start flying that'll work out too.

Speaking as the mapmaker: altering the Civ/leader would be child's play (but I can't do it for 2-3 days time).
All that needs to happen is to start a new game as whatever leader they choose and copy and paste (+Civ/racial promos, starting tech, starting location etc.)

The difficulty would lie in fitting their timezone with the one set up for Ryan, as that would likely involve changing the player order and is non trivial (but vital) to change.
I do think its a step you're gonna need to take though.

And yeah, it would need a restart to alter civs.
(Heck we can't even enter wb - let alone change the file).

The leaders are pretty easy to see - it would be really stupid to try and hide them.

Also can I suggest making a post in the CFC forum?
Its not particularly large atm, but there's a decent chance they'd join.
