I have a question. Okay, the bananas in the southeast - would you settle for them (I see your city signs; it'd have to be on the grassland hill between your "Blasted Heath" and "c" signs, once borders have expanded at Dunwich) or leave them to Dunwich for double food perpetually there? The reason I ask is 'cause in single-player I'm often like "mmm, double-food, awesome city site," but then I'm like "hmm, I can fit another city in here to share resources," and then suddenly my double-food site isn't so awesome anymore - but I do have two functioning cities instead of one. So I'm just curious what your approach would/will be, since I saw an example of the situation on the map.

It's a lush map, and a very tight one; so yes, I'll probably cram in an extra city on that hill if I can (bringing me up to 11 cities woo), but I am not certain to get any of those spots. The Blasted Heath is going to be battling Scooter's city from day one, while the northern C is going to have to contend with Serdoa. I'm keeping everything provisional for now...and everything *must* be on a hill if its a border.

Not problem. Like I said, though, it's due the map. On a more normal map I probably would just let the bananas be Dunwich's for some semi-decent food. "It depends" is usually the correct answer.

I'm running light enough right now that even Scooter's little warrior is a potential issue; I could pop it, but Lewwyn is also in command as has wrecked his own game on a vendetta for less. So we cover up and wait. (Not shown: Accidentally letting the chop go into Innsmouth over Dunwich and thus wrecking my micro a bit.) Anyway, the first and biggest-deal maddrassa is online in Arkham, so I turned on tech for Mathematics; that's the last inefficient chop we'll be performing. Arkham is looking pretty nice for cottage commerce, and will only get nicer with time, so I think I'll be going for a quick Academy here before launching the long Great Prophet bulb chain towards Civil Service (which I do want; this is a sexy Bureaucap). I will want to grow her more though; I'm a mere one pop above the rest in my Chm-capital! That's no good. Anyhow, here is the general sense of our height. Lincoln is Mr. Tall, right?

Ah, one last fun note:
![]() Health cap: Reached. I am going to be needing rice from the Blasted Heath and hopefully can trade my spare wheat for a corn but this is going to be a hard capital to keep healthy.

I keep shaving those turns off; another maddrassa, and now its five turns to Math. Here's my tiny locale, by the way...Krill just settled two more cities, who knows where...I need to keep up, getting left behind here.
I notice I have at least a decent shot at claiming some of this Undiscovered Country to my northeast; it'll be a reach, and one 30% more expensive that all of my aggressive friends', but still. Not terrible land. If everyone else would be willing to just spot me ten turns, I could still win this!
