I chickened out and took the draw, even if I might have had some winning chances in that endgame.
I was exhausted anyway, after playing 30+ moves with an extremely cramped position, defending my critically weak pawn on d6. (I blundered and missed my chance to play d5.)
If it is some comfort, the endgame is 0.00, so a dead draw with correct play. Good job of not taking the pawn with 47...Kxh5, it would have given me a big advantage.
Still, that was bad play by me, in the early game I was better as much as 2.00 and threw my advantage away later.
Then again, me missing 38...Rc7 could have been a straight loss in many similar positions.
@Rego: Sorry about the blunder, I really liked some of your plays, I think especially the knight maneuvre from b8 to a6 and b4 was a very good idea.

Thanks - in games against you, I often feel very cramped with no good moves. It's hard for me to know how to try and get some action going
I won this one too, after Regoarrarr ironically fell into the same trap with his rook that he allowed me to escape. It didn't look like an easy win against that bishop pair, though, but I was also able to trap one of the bishops after he placed it in a tight spot. GG, Rego.
I am missing it - what move should I have played? 17. ...Bc6 does trap the rook - should I have played 18...Re8 setting up 19... Be5?
Very interesting situation in my game with Cyneheard. Still in an endgame with my queen + pawn to his 2 rooks.
He's just moved 42.. Rfh7
As I analyzed, his default move that I need to respond to is 43... Rxh4, which will win my queen since my king would have to move out of his way
43. Kh3 or Kg3 will let him play 43...Rxh4 and swap the queen + pawn and 2 rooks, leaving us with 3 pawns each. I simmed that out a few times and I think that even with my passed pawn, I can't force a win due to the position of his king. I may need to come back to this.
I would be interested in some (spoiled) analysis of this, either by one of you guys that's actually good, or a computer :-D
43. Kg5 leads to bad things
43... Rg7+ 44. Kf6 Rh6# (44. Kf4 Rxh4+ losing pawn + queen)
43. Kf3 loses the pawn but I was looking through that line to see if a sacrifice might work here.
43... Rxh4
44. Qe6+ and his 3 responses are 44... Kg7, Kf8 or Kh7
44... Kh7 45. Qg6# (that's the easy one to analyze :D )
44... Kg7
45. f6+ (45... Kf8 46. Qe7+ Kg8 47. Qg7#) (45... Kh7 46. Qf7+ Kh6 47. Qg7+ Kh5 48. Qxh8 wins me a rook) (45... Kg6 46. f7+ threatens 47. Qe8 which leaves me very close to queening the pawn) (45... Kh6 46. f7+ same thing)
44... Kf8
45. Qf6+ Kg8
46. Qg6+ Kf8
47. f6 which threatens mate in 2 (48. Qg7+ Ke8 49. Qe7#
45.. Ke8
46. Qg6+ if he plays Kf8 then we're in the same spot as above, if he playes Kd8 then I still advancd 47. f6 and if he tries to get me into check I can escape to the top of the board
So now that I have gone through all that what other moves can he make instead of 43... Rxh4? Not much that I can see - he needs to keep his rooks on the same file to protect against my queen forking them and his king
Of course, now having said that, I need to do some analysis of how the 3 pawn a-piece position looks if I trade things off which I'll have to do later.
Okay after all that work, I think that I am in good shape for a win if we exchange. Earlier I was misreading the king and pawn for king endgame and I think that I can take back the pawn and with my king in a better position. Of course, I've probably missed something but I am going to move Kh3 and see how it goes!
I had an idea of how to proceed five or so turns ago, but either forgot it or miscalculated at the time. So now i've shuffled my pieces around aimlessly while i tried to remember / find a new plan. Wasted a lot of tempi, now i'm going to lose as soon as novice moves his rook to a1 and a8

I (also?) found myself having to recalculate everything at every turn... Interesting game and extremely well fought, Pindicator. I'm very pleased I managed to hold on to my advantage and turn it into a win.

I walked with my king in the corner on purpose. I hope Novice will try to win the exchange with the fork 26. Nd7, because I then have the in-between move Qc6!, treatening mate and winning the knight.
EDIT: Yes, unless I am mistaken he fell right into it. If your opponent "overlooks" an obvious fork always double check if one of the forked pieces has a threat in return (sometimes you can just counterattack another piece, it doesn't have to be a mate threat).
