There's another settler coming out. It's nice to haves axes prior to aggressive settling, which will likely push towards Adlain.

Re: Warlord...

So the copper is fairly close, but that must be really awful scouting to not defog the copper tile 5-distance from the capital. Still, I don't think this will kill Warlord, hill archers will make it a pain to take a city 16-distance from your capital. At most, this calls for a choke. If he loses his front city, I don't think Warlord has enough time to research archery, AH, build a road to the horses 3332 from his capital, and plant a third city without losing all his 6-yield tiles.

Re: Locke...

I think that's a fine city, I've always been of the opinion that 2nd cities should be production focused, letting you pump workers and settlers. I wouldn't even whip it, at size 4, you're getting 12H/turn and +2F/turn, giving 3.5turn workers. It's pretty defensible, the lake and the hills shield it from 2-movers to the north or west, too bad it's not on a hill. If you want an aggressive 3rd, you'll want a city 1SW of the copper, but it'll be a pain to secure that city's southern border due to a lack of good food resources for a city site.

So how does the 24 hour turn timer work? It appears to run closer to 29 hours.

People signing in and out effectively stop the clock. If no one signed in or out - it would take 24 hrs.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I would have thought that SW SW from where the 2nd city is now would have been slightly better... Generally their play hasn't been the most optimal - Those GLH mines that aren't on the river seem a little silly to me - why miss the 1c?

A forest grew over it, so they mined the other hills prior to Bronze Working.

Did warlord just ragequit out of the game when he thought he had no copper and a hostile neighbour that did? Because that sucks, now Plako has a huge advantage over the new turnplayer, he has a couple of turns on them. Nakor may regret giving Plako free reign over a politically destabilised neighbour as well!

At this point, no one knows what WarlordDr has or hasn't done.

Has anyone tried to contact his buddy Metallian?

Sorry i didn't replay to this, i asked Ioan to answer because i was away but seems he forget about that.Sorry again.About Nap lets make it until 1 ad because we have nothing to fight about at least until then.
We have litle intersest in Great lighouse, and oracle is to far away. About stonehenge, is not a priority for us.

Mackoti

Of course they accepted the NAP. But it's amusing to see them claim that "Stonehenge is not a priority for us"... well, obviously not after it's just been built. tongue

Seriously, you'd think after all this time they'd wait a little longer to send their long-overdue first diplomatic message to make it slightly less obvious that they were going for the wonder. wink With the timing of that message, I'd put the odds of them having tried for Stonehenge at about 95%. I actually kind of hope we beat them to it by just a turn or two - that would serve them right for being so sneaky in their diplomacy. :neenernee

Well well well, it worked! The wordy guy was right, down to the 2turn wonder win! His reads were correct. In a years time, LP is going to be gloating so hard.
