I happened across the vBulletin setting that controls the display of mouseover text for thread titles in a forum listing. So I can turn that off if we want. Would that be a good idea given the spoilery nature of our Civ forums, or do folks make use of that generally? (Unfortunately it's a site-wide setting, can't define it per forum.)

Wouldn't people using linear mode get all the spoilers anyway?

Most people put random 1 liners anyway in the first post if they care about people getting spoiled by it, so I don't think it matters much if it's enabled imo.

is the password recovery feature broke on the forums, I can;t seem to get it to work using many variations on "what is the name of this community?"

The answer to that should just be Realms Beyond . If it still doesn't work, post again or PM me and I'll look into manually sending a password reset.

From what I can tell, their names are exactly the same as their well-known counterparts. This, of course, raises the question: are identical usernames allowed?

Wow, thanks for the catch. Apparently that is possible; the original KOP and Griselda accounts still exist as usual too. Both new accounts had obviously junk/spambot email addresses so I banned them.

Uh.... I was pretty sure vBulletin doesn't allow that? Feels like something weird happened here.
