J is a challenge though, there are no techs with a J.

Best I've found so far is Jets Wipe Helm.

EDIT: Also Jest Is Anarchy or Jars Hesitancy, although I'm interested to see if you can guess what those are anagrams of.

A few opinions for t64 though mostly I just agree with your plan:

1) I think Failed Sum should 1-whip the Lighthouse. I was thinking 2whip it, but it's got 4 great tiles already (and soon 7, after the LH is in) so losing the citizen for e.g. overflow into a library is not as nice as it usually is.

2) Do we really need to send 2 workers to improve the gold? It costs so many worker turns, 1 to board the galley, 1 to move onto the hill, one to board the galley on the way back. All for 3t earlier gold. I haven't looked into the specifics here, just grimaced at the general idea, so maybe I am wrong. wink

3) I like the plan to settle dyes. But also, damn, what a slow start if we settle 1S of the plains dye. How about settling on it? We lose a 1/1/6 tile but gain 1c straight-up. More importantly we have the rice first ring instead of not a single 3f tile or forest in the first ring. Additionally we'll get the dye happy as soon as calendar is in. What do you think?

Also I think Homely Pits should go max growth and whip the granary as soon as the chop makes it possible (so like in 5t). It can then grow back to 4 and 2whip the library t72 I think.

Let's get Currency before Calendar. With 10 cities * $2 I think the extra trade routes are too strong to delay, and I think we're teching fast enough to not lose Mausoleum because of this. And if we do at least nothing was invested in it and we can go get the Great Library.

1. Yes, I've also independently arrived at 1-whipping. Great minds and all that...

2. I'm grimacing too, but the deed is done. lol One of the workers will move on to the dyes site after the gold is improved. I guess the other worker will move on to the marble site later, or road towards the fertile valley.

3. I was also considering settling on the dyes. I think we should go for that. The insta-happy, first-ring rice, and the added hill and forests make that the strongest site.

With that, enjoy this logistical mess. lol

Demographics - not too shabby although Mack's GNP is a bit scary.

Attach Mimes grew into unhealthiness, so let's see if we can remedy that:

Novice is doing some really fantastic micro, I'll let him explain it though. smile Instead I will post a bit about our opponents and mid-term goals.

Still no new classical techs by opponents, and I'm now almost certain that Mackoti has researched Metal Casting. It's been too long and he's IND and he's spent a good amount of gold. I believe he stockpiled gold until he finished a library in his capital, then teched it in two turns. He's currently doing breakeven science (he's showing 1gpt) which I guess means he isn't waiting for his great scientist to make an academy before his next tech. I bet he shows up with Calendar soon. Other great stuff for him here is CoL-CS. So hopefully he doesn't steal any of the wonders we want. (MoM which we plan to rush, and GL which we probably won't be able to.)

I'm thinking we may want to get some OB going with Lewwyn. How long do trade routes take to recover from war?

We need a few more settlers in a hurry. One for a silver site (luckily as of this turn both the silvers near us are unclaimed; Lewwyn took the one between him and GNOASP, and Mackoti took the one between him and Lewwyn. (And probably this is related to the war declaration between those two.) Another settler for the marble. A third for the clam/wheat spot on the edge of the island towards Mackoti. I think those are the highest priorities. We'd also like one for the stone I think (probably beats forting it), at least one more for the jungle, one for our other FP site, and potentially several more for big-island spots.

Techwise we should get Currency in two more turns and Calendar three turns after that, I would estimate. We are also getting a third great person in two turns, I would guess about 66% prophet and about 1/6 each of scientist or engineer. A prophet would be relatively unfortunate; I guess we'd probably save him for a Mausoleum-powered GA in the near future.

After Calendar we really want Iron Working. Archery would also be great and take less than 1t of research. And quite importantly we would like to get Aesthetics-Polytheism-Literature and build the Great Library and National Epic in Attach Mimes. This could also lead to Music for the artist, either a golden age or nice culture bomb in the jungle... So many things we need!

Agreed on all counts. We also need a GPP strategy. With caste, ES could starve from 12 to 5 during a MoM GA and produce about 80 spec-turns.
