Upside, upside...um, Pindicator's comments mean they are still at war?
A pox on Krill anyway...when you kill a man, do it clean!

So this is three pieces of good news in this image. First and most obviously, the barb warrior gave me a promotion, so that's nice. Secondly, as can kind of be seen via outline, but was confirmed by the warrior, there is a nice city spot on the northern hill, gaining wet rice and sharing sheep. Third and most dangerously, Novice's forge/prophet point city birthed...a Great Prophet. So not an engineer. So with an expeditious enough push, maybe Pyramids are still available?
Immediate problems first! Serdoa, in Soviet Arabia, culture swamps you! Enjoy those first ring tiles another ten-eleven turns. They'll be gone soon after. Unless, you know, I fail. Demos still aren't great, and Pin is the other low guy. At least I got honest GNP! Paying very little for silly things like, I dunno, cities... So, more and more stuff gets delayed to bring myself at least up to sixth place in power. I am next to Thoth, Krill, and Serdoa. ![]()

Does diplomacy play any role in these types of games other than dogpiling runaways?
I've only been reading this thread. (October 18th, 2013, 23:11)Hashoosh Wrote: Does diplomacy play any role in these types of games other than dogpiling runaways?Welcome! Hope you enjoy the read. Interesting question; this game is played with the usual Realms Beyond "AI-diplo" or CTON (Can't Talk Or Negotiate). So we're only doing diplo via offers in diplomacy panes and movement. Diplo still exists; I think Novice traded his maps with me because I'm the low man on the totem pole, I doubt he'd like to help Krill for instance. Dogpiling runaways is actually hard; it can happen, but usually the lack of coordination is fatal. I am in the most danger out of anyone other than maybe Pindicator of getting dogpiled right now, because I am the weakest and thus tastiest. Other ways to talk, like "Serdoa I don't like that city plant" are available.

Will you attack him here? Move the chariot onto the road tile and then move the axe onto the hill one N? Or just do it in 2t? I used to think I was good at CIV before I started looking around the internet. Particularly this site and Sulla's stuff on garath. Well, if he'd left just a warrior I'd have tried razing, but unfortunately, if not surprisingly, he rushed troops over to help. So I'll focus on not dying in doomed Sarnath. I'm flattered, by the way, but this has not been a tour de force on my part here. ![]() Sarnath is a great city, owning sheep, horse, silver, grass forest mine, but darned if I can get attached. We'll see if she holds. Last turn, not sure if I made mention, I snagged Archery. My tiny empire is still researching well, and I am tempted to set up a Theology bulb. Question is, with all the horses around, can this place afford to wait on war elephants that long? I'm thinking, sadly, no...
