Triplet going settler->settler makes a lot of sense to me actually, since it doesn't need to get a cottage sprawl going (presuming we still have that spec'd for hammers).
As I said earlier, ugh v retep. We probably shouldn't attack b/c even with his pathetic military (and inattentive positioning) ours isn't large enough to beat out the latent-slavery military he has from pop, so we'd capture/raze that first city and then probably stall, possible fall into spiral of useless conflict.

Well, my preferred outcome is that he is awake enough, whips another defender, and draws back the worker. But even if he doesn't...we are in a good snowball position, we don't want to derail. With the efficiency of swords in this mod I don't think it's a given that 6 cities vs. 3 cities in the classic era is a bad time to attack, but I do know that war mode would derail those tasty islands and slow the Guilds. So yeah, probably even if Retep does nothing...

I know you had retep listed high on the threat matrix, but realistically your threats are joey and gav.
Instead of a bunch of swords, grab that whale. Stay peaceful but push him into donovan and the eastern powers.
Also re:retep, thats not even enough power for spawnbusters. You may be barb free, but kamchatka to his east is going to make barbs a challenge for him. Probably soon... in fact that may be part of why he only has 3 cities.
Edit: and he looks to have lost his scout very early, and a warrior to ANOTHER animal (or a VERY early barb). That hurts a lot.
Editit: or maybe he really IS following TBS script for joao and will finish henge promptly...

So yes, in the end, I was nice. I was nice. I was, in fact, probably far too nice as old boy traded maps with me and in retrospect that road is heading to snipe Warhorse. ![rolleye rolleye](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rolleye.gif) Go to Kamchatka! Stay away or I shall be forced to destroy you utterly!
Poor guy is river-poor.
Meh. Fundamentals remain unchanged; we just will mosey over the the island earlier. Last legit mainland city is thus settled, hello dear little Spinneret. It may be long before you grant us happiness, but in the meanwhile you'll grant us slaves.
HAK ol' buddy, I suggest you just turn yourself around.

Triplet is most assuredly hammer-city extraordinaire here, the horses cemented that. It's actually going settler-chariot-settler to get to size five after this rush job on the Warhorse settler, though.

I am irrationally peeved that Retep's empire has a higher latitude that ours.

I probably missed the note, but its true that IND-India probably has to land it to get any respect at all!
Is that an MP on the warhorse hill? Can you move it SE toward retep, cuz even a small military feint should scare him off about now.

Can the chariot get up there without losing something necessary down south? He does seem militarily weak enough that the threat could work. And I think we have some leeway re: antagonizing given we didn't raze his city.

Well he's finally got a spear up in Peter. So chariot heads north to support the lone quecha up there...we may have more power than Retep, but we're pretty thin for 6/7 cities.
Incoming?
