To please the lurker masses, I'll declare war on Molach this turn. Dtay is a wonderful man and attacked AT, while forging an alliance with me. That's awesome for me and for him, I think. I hope I can make a good amount of gains against Molach, that allows me to fight Adrien next.
I'll post pictures soon.

This is the eastern slow-moving army. I used the workers to road 1SE of the stack. This shows the nerf of the creative trait in effect, that Molach city to the east was settled quite a bit ago, but it still hasn't popped borders. So, I get an extra move on the attack.
I promoted one of the WEs to sentry and moved a phalanx, to reveal the following situation.
Molach is really in his last efforts. The cities are pretty low size and almost no defenders. Yes, I'm playing the vulture here... AT did all the heavy lifting and what he got for that was a backstabbing dtay and I stealing all his potential conquests.
This shows that I had a lot of luck with the timing. I think if I was a little late with guilds and my buildup, dtay would have attacked me instead of AT. Well, hopefully they have a very bloody war over there.
The western stack. I'll have 9 knights next turn to attack Border Conflict and 11 knights the following turn to storm next to Molach other cities. Very low number, but seeing as Molachs best units are HAs, our 3 promo knights can be very dangerous. We just need to blitz some cities from Molach and make recovering harder for him. I'm actually more confident now thatn ever in conquering all of Molach's lands. He has 12/13 cities. I wonder if I can achieve 25 cities soon, I'd be very, very happy.

By the way, hopefully Keshiks grow in the interturn. I thnk a city needs 10t of working a 2 food tile to grow from size 1 to size 2, and I think Keshiks will get there next turn. I want to keep that city, lake + farms + TRs is good enough.

I'm afraid that sounds awfully like high expectations. That's not what we read this thread for.

Just as you mention this, I met what will be my ultimate demise.
Why do I have to be Mackoti's closest naval neighbour? And dutch Mackoti even! I need like a billion techs to be able to defend against his galleons. And the fact that we met means he just got Optics, so he's going there. Likely Liberalism into Astronomy. So, the game is over for me. I even accepted his open borders... What's the difference, he can just scout me with caravels...
I'm just not good enough to defend navally, so what could I do about dutch Mack? I can only hope he pities me or something...
Between dtay and Mack, what a wonderful place to be. ![rant rant](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rant.gif) And if I achievemy intended conquests, I'll also have Gavagai and Krill as neighbours...
Ah, we also captured 3 cities, but that's too happy/optimistic for a report, so I won't do it...
Happy new year, by the way!

Can't tell if lurker-pandering or despair...
Go on, show us how you're taking Moloch apart.

Top 5 in the score chart, neighboring a guy in the bottom 5... life can't be all bad, can it?
By the way, did you forget to end turn?

I won a ~10% battle to take this city. C3 sword against longbow. Very lucky! it was the only defender.
Won this battle too! 2 Cities captured.
Also took No Expansion with the knights. C3 knight against crossbow, 90+ odds.
These three are the only combats I had so far.
I united the slow + knight stack to move against the Capital. Molach has some catapults, spears and HAs + maces and crossbows. But I don't think he has enough to wipe my stack. I'm very low on siege, so I'm betting on my heavely promoted knights and Molach's flatland cities to make progress (I'll have around 20 ready to attack the Capital on the planned turn for the attack). Not sure if this will work... Anyway, Molach isn't whipping that much anymore. If I can take his Capital, I think it's over. Hopefully I can keep it, but razing it might be needed...
I'm starting to fall in score from the leaders, which is likely to keep going. I'll reassess after the Molach war, but perhaps a round of courthouses + attack on Adrien is the way to go. But wars are very stressful! For now, I'm building lots of knights. Need to reach CoL soon for the CHs. I'm ORG, after all. But since I had a low city count until now, they weren't needed.

I have a feeling that Molach is really over with this game and he'll let me conquer him without that much trouble.
So, the dream of a happy, 25-cites-empire Ichabod is true.
