Civ4 AI Survivor: Season Three

I wonder what a survivor season would be like with community determined teams of (2 or 3) AIs competing in the tournament. Perhaps, previous contest winners (among others) could pick the teams at the start of the season. Then the season and contest would proceed as normal until we have our surviving team champion.

Well, if you wanted to do something like that, maybe get 18 teams together and do a snake pick where each team drafts a unique civ and unique leader pair. Do games of 6 civs each. We still run the same scoring contest. It would be a fairly involved though.
Alternatively, I wouldn't mind just doing normal survivor and randomize the pairings (so long as Shaka of Rome is selected).

I disagree with all restricted random leader/civ pairings games taking place as a new season.
To me the point is to find out best AI. If you guys all want to set all leaders under same standars then making them all American civilization may help but still. Considering all 52 leaders as 34 different civilization in a ranking system would be very hard and random. It could be something seperate, all leaders having random civ in each game but definitely not as part of this ranking system we have for two seasons(will be 3) right now. Beside you can easily see Sitting Bull winning when you give him the right setting, he expands well and he is pretty good in wars.
The last playoff game took place today, and when it finished we had the final two members for the Championship Game. Without including any spoilers, I think we ended up with a terrific field of very strong AI performers in the upcoming final match. Thanks to everyone who was able to turn out today and take part in the Livestream. Special thanks to the winner of today's picking contest, Dark Savant with a score of 23 points.
