I could still play the turn(s) for you on Tuesday and Wednesday, if you give me instructions, but I understand if you would rather delay the game a short while so you can play the turn(s) yourself.

It is good that coldrain has equal power to you. He could be attacked by Miro or Xist instead of you.

I might have been wrong to advise you not to use the Great Engineer on Wall Street. Using a Great Engineer on Wall Street is sometimes the best use for the Great Engineer (players have done it before), and it would be a good use for the Great Engineer in this case, I just think that you can do better with that Great Engineer later. But maybe you are right and it would be better to have the gold RIGHT NOW to help get to Railroad sooner.

Please, go ahead!!!  No instructions, I have no many plans for next turns, just making units and research fast Rails and after use the GEngineers for the next Infantry Tech, I don't remember the name now

Turn 215 - 1515 AD

I kept researching Railroad, and all the cities that finished producing something will produce more units.

I like how the 1-tile gaps between islands are blocked by your ships. That can force the enemy to sacrifice a lot of ships to get to your mainland. I moved the ships around a little bit so they are not sleeping in cities. Also, in war you could put ships 1 tile south of Anchorage to force enemies to land to attack.

Big picture, the military situation is okay. Xist has Assembly Line (for Infantry) and Miro and coldrain have Railroad (for Machine Guns and Railroads), but you will have those technologies soon and are otherwise equal in military technology. And Miro and Xist have more power, but not too much more power.

I think that you should rearrange what units are positioned where. Right now the army is disorganized. It should be more concentrated together.
Border cities should have appropriate garrisons, and the rest of the army is back in a place where it can quickly respond to invasions from different directions. Border garrisons stop enemies from casually and quickly capturing cities, like with only a few units or with only fast-moving units. Make the invader walk slowly with their collateral damage units to capture anything, or they suffer massive casualties to attack quickly (Cavalry with no other helping units vs. your fortified Riflemen).
The main army exists to counterattack the invading force. Hit the invaders with your collateral damage first, then destroy them. If you don't have enough to do that, then retreat until you do. I am rambling.

Especially collateral damage units aren't that useful in small groups defending different border cities. Collateral damage units are bad defenders and are better to be concentrated together farther back where they can counterattack.

EDIT: And think about what to do with your East Indiamen. They are not good fighting ships now, but you could put good defender units in them to rapidly move wherever there is a threat. Or position the East Indiamen to evacuate islands if necessary. That kind of thing.

And nice job having 2 cities in the Top 5 and building the Sistine Chapel. I like showing off on this screen. lol.

A few things that I forgot to mention:

I sent the 3 Chariots into foreign territory to watch the land borders. That way, we will be warned if more units move towards us.

The Workers still have good things to do. Of course they will build Railroads soon. Railroads are very important. But after the Railroads, the Workers can chop Forests with Lumbermills almost all the way (leave 1 turn left to chop) so if the enemy invades, then you can chop the Forest for emergency production for units and so the enemy doesn't get as good of a tile. Also it destroys the +50% defense bonus. Workers can also build Forts almost all the way (1 turn left to finish the Fort) on various tiles. Again, if the enemy invades, then +25% defense on an important tile might be more important than the yields from a Farm, Mine, etc.
Preparing chops and Forts is not that important, but you might as well do it because the Workers have nothing else to do. And I have the done the chopping thing before and it worked okay.

I didn't know before this turn that you had 2 Great Engineers, not one. smoke. My mistake. You could use them to research Assembly Line for Infantry faster. I think that you will research Assembly Line soon enough without using the Great Engineers, but it is an option. Otherwise, you should save one Great Engineer and focus one or two cities more on getting two more different types of Great People (work more specialists). The 3-man Golden Age is next and that is not to hard to get and could be really strong for getting an Economic civic.
And the second Great Engineer might snipe a World Wonder even if you discover the technology later than the other players. You are not too far behind in technology.

Lastly, the new Confucian Missionary is in Amsterdam.

Done! We should rename Amsterdam.
The workers are making railroads and many cities Machine Guns. When the main net of Rails are done we can do that of chopping forest and making forts.
I put one GEngineer in research Assembly Line, but you're right, that saves only one turn of research. Not that much!. I keep the other GEng in Unalaska. Also I am sending a Mining Inc Man to Valdez. He will give 12 Hammers more. But I am not very secure of using Coorps.

You could name it "North Pole". North Pole is a smaller city in the Fairbanks North Star Borough... that is actually south of the city of Fairbanks itself. smoke. And of course far south of the Arctic Circle and the actual North Pole. I think that North Pole fits as a name for a southern filler city in our civilization (don't tell the people of North Pole that I said that).
By the way, they painted some of their street lamps like candy canes there a while ago.

It is sad that there are no Great Engineer corporations left to establish. Making the Mining Inc Headquarters would have been a great use for a Great Engineer.
I don't know how good Mining Inc will be for us without the headquarters to pay for it. That question is worth doing some math to solve. It might be really good. The other corporations might be really good too, I don't know.
By the way, you are now farther than I have ever made it in the tech tree in a multiplayer game before. I never discovered Railroad. I will still try to help, but I do not know as much about this era of the game.
