PBEM2 - Email and Technical Issues

Well, I uploaded the save to pbem tracker but it is still stuck on Ruff. If you go to the log, the current turn is listed and in a grey box. I'm thinking it is forwarding the e-mails fine but the current turn display is stuck for reasons unknown.

the best part of this web site is that it tells you who has the save. This is currently broken. I'll contact the guys that run it but if they cannot fix it, then I prefer email.

I've seen it get stuck before. That time we just kept uploading the saves and it did "un-stick" fairly quickly and since then has kept track fine. I would suggest that we keep using it for the next two rounds at least - so we've got a couple of complete circuits - and then if it's still not working and the admins can't help, we abandon it.

OK, I've just found a problem with the game:

Justinian should start with Wheel & Mysticism, however I have Wheel & Mining - a hold-over from Mali, I guess.

This would certainly alter my strategy going forward; it can be dealt with, of course, but at this early stage would it be better to correct and re-start?

My fault... if I hadn't been cutesy about not revealing the random civs, we could have cleared this up before the save went around anywhere. (But I read the thread again and it still doesn't say anything about no Financial. Was that said in a private message or by telepathy or something?)

Reroll any fin or Exp civ IMO, or just pick 2 civs at random and claim that's what came out

I found it buried in a summary post by Krill. Not sure we ever definitely ratified it, but we had previously discussed limiting the range of civs available to us randomisers.

This is correctable via editing the worldbuilder save...my fault for not thinking to do it the first time . I think this one really calls for a restart unfortunately (Yaz your techs are off too). At least I can fix the Stalin error on the way. I've replayed my turns with the fixed file, yet again, and e-mailed it directly to Krill since I think the pbemtracker.com names are all f'd up now. Speaking of which, I changed my name in game.

EDIT: Ruff, don't forget to change Stalin back to Cyrus.
