I tried to upload the pictures to photobucket, but it doesn't seem to be working for me, so I'll upload it as a .rar file. There's not any OMG player, but maybe some of them can help. Some notes about them:
Jaroslav Kopecky - costed 20k, was offered by an agent. Maybe we can get him for less. Seems like a good/decent striker.
Billy Tembo - Young and a lot of good stats. Very cheap (250 per week contract), but I couldn't get him a WP.
Most of the young players had their contracts terminated by big teams (man utd, arsenal, etc.). They could be cheap solutions to our problems of lack of depth.
I got Pedro Jose and Alan O'connor that Brian suggested and they are both very nice players, in my opinion. I'll look for more tonight.

Well I'll play on to the end of the season then. I'll look at a few of the players I saw for frees, and try to wrangle some deals.
I'll also get rid of the dead wood from the reserves and youths, and maybe see if we can sell off some of our lesser first team players.

Ok I'm about a week into this thing and I've come to a bit of an imp-arse as they say.
I looked at all the released players and found a few players:
Green means buy red means sell, I'll explain a few. Wages are what they ask for immediately on offering contract and most can be haggled down.
1) All players are EU national.
2) Stepanjan is definite buy of AMC and almost as good at MC:
At this level he'll be massive.
3) Green/Red means I'm not sure. Jones is a good looking GK prospect but we've as good and better; Rosier is a decent CB but a bit pricy.
4) Goulding would definitely be good enough but he refused a trial & scout says no interest.
6) Goodwins unbalance is mainly low tackling & pace but otherwise good.#
7) Genes is physically very weak in an area where we've cover.
8) Loughran is GK but too iffy for the wages he wants.
In other news we got the end of season awards:
Not too shabby methinks.
I went ahead and offered contracts to some of the better looking players & 2 on our shortlist who were released:
I also offered a contract to an Australian U-21, WP was rejected on youth contract so re-offered him senior one:
I think I'll be offering contracts to all the £5 players I greened straight away and also Stepanjan.

So, photobucket is back, so I'll post some screenshots.
Young players (stepanjan was one of them, but Brian already posted his SS):
Not so young players:

Young Players
Not a hope with Laird, his agent won't even talk. Plus if he stays on the month-to-month (which he's being doing a while, I really need to work up a report on the problems with non-real players) he'll cost a cool £2m in compensation.
Noble is meh in my opinion, there is nothing that stands him out, especially as our midfield is our strongest area. He'd have trouble covering what we have, and I've listed better in my post.
There's no point even trying for Tembo, we'll never get a work permit, and there's no chance of us getting a Belgian feeder. Unfortunately you just have to let go of the good ones some times. The same probably goes for Mineiro unless he's got EU second nationality. It is unlikely that we'll get a Brazilian player good enough to get in on the "improve the game" criteria.
Older Players
We've got Brown already (well waiting for the signing to come through), Reijnen looks like a really good buy. I'd take Galmiche over Kopecky, Gamiche looks like an addition to the team, whereas Kopecky is only a lesser fascimile of what we've got. Mirzai I scouted, was hoping he'd be better going forward but he's a top defensive only FB for our level. Bah and Jordan are in the same boat as Tembo and Mineiro as regards no EU nationality then forget about them (though I remember offering Bah a contract at the start and he laughing in my face).
So good work scouting around, you've definitely found a few players looking at in addition to my list and frees.

The brazilian youth guy was playing for an english team (Arsenal, if I remember correctly), so I guess he has a second nationality.
What do you think about Kevon Saibene?
I am looking for more players and I found some promising ones. I'll see if we'll have any chance of signing them, then I'll post.

Sabiene looks good, his defensive stats could be better but if we retrained him more as a defensive winger than a full-back he'll do fine.
I'll look at Mineiro in a few minutes, playing a different game (cup match against no-hopers).
Had a look at Mineiro, and he was at Liverpool, even getting games. Buth he's Brazil only so I don't know if we'll get the WP.
As regards work permits in England here are the rules:
The FA Wrote:Criteria for Players
To be eligible for a Governing Body Endorsement under PBS:
1. A player must have played for his country in at least 75% of its competitive “A” team matches he was available for selection, during the 2 years preceding the date of the application;
2. The player’s country must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA World Rankings when averaged over the 2 years preceding the date of the application; and
3. The application for a GBE must be made by a club in membership of the Premier League or Football League and the player will only play for clubs in membership of those leagues. Competitive matches
The definition of a competitive 'A' team international match is a:
- World Cup Finals game
- World Cup Qualifying group game; and
- Football Association Confederation game, for example:
- The FIFA Confederations Cup;
- The UEFA European Championships and Qualifiers;
- The African Cup of Nations and Qualifiers;
- The Asia Nations Cup and Qualifiers;
- The CONCACAF Gold Cup;
- The CONCACAF The Copa Caribe;
- The CONMEBOL Copa America;
- The OFC Nations Cup and
- The UNCAF Nations Cup
International appearances
Prior to submitting an application, clubs should provide written confirmation of the player's international appearance record over the preceding two years highlighting the competitive 'A' matches. This should be obtained from the player's home association. The Governing Body will be unable to make a decision on the application until written evidence is provided. If any evidence submitted needs verifying the Governing Body will liaise with other parties and verify the information through all available sources, if necessary.
Injuries
Exclusion from selection for international matches due to injury or suspension will be taken into consideration when applying the criteria. Clubs should submit supporting evidence in such cases stipulating the games the player has missed. Ideally evidence will be required from the player’s national association or, if not available from the association, from his club.
It should be noted that where a player is listed as on the substitutes' bench, he will not be considered as injured when reaching a decision on issuing an endorsement.
FIFA rankings
There are currently 201 international teams listed in the official FIFA world rankings. Those countries which have regularly achieved a 70th placing or higher over a period of two years are regarded as nations who have competed regularly at a highly competitive international
level and have players of the highest standard who have contributed consistently to the achievement of that world ranking.
The Governing Body will produce the aggregated two-year rankings list on a monthly basis when the official FIFA world rankings are published and those countries ranked 70th or above meet the criterion. The aggregated rankings can be downloaded from this website. If clubs have any queries about the rankings they should contact The Football Association.
....
[Appeals] Panels
Where an application does not meet the published criteria, a club may request a panel to consider the player's skills and experience. In these cases The Football Association will refer the club's evidence to an independent panel.
Where possible the club's supporting evidence will be sent to The Football Association and other football bodies in advance for their consideration in order to allow an informed decision.
The panel will normally consist of representatives from the relevant football governing bodies together with up to three independent experts. The FA will endeavour to ensure there are no conflicts of interest between the independent experts and the applicant club. If the applicant
club wishes to object to the involvement of any of the independent experts it must do so in writing at least 24 hours before the panel hearing, explaining their reasons for the objection.
The panel's terms of reference are:
- To consider whether the player is of the highest calibre.
- To consider whether the player is able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in England.
The panel will make a recommendation to The Football Association whose decision will then be relayed to the club. The details of the voting will not be disclosed. Each member of the panel will provide written reasons for their own decision to the Secretary of the panel. A majority positive vote is required to approve an application (e.g. 4-2, 5-1 or 6-0).
Full terms of reference and roles of the panel members and the club are available to attendees. Clubs should note that, in respect of any application, there will only be one panel available (ie a panel and recommendation, followed by a decision). A club should therefore ensure that all evidence it wishes to present in support of its application is presented to the panel.
If the club has previously made an application that was unsuccessful at panel a further panel cannot be requested for the same player during the season. For these purposes a season is deemed to run from 1 June until 31 May.

The second part, the appeals pane, basically boils down to "Is he a top player?" So Neymar would get in on that whereas it'd be iffy if say China's Liu Yu were looking for one.

Nicely done, your findings make me smile very much!
I think I mentioned that I am doing a Crewe game which started from the initial save of this game. After 2 straight promotions I'm now desperately trying to survive in the Championship. It amuses me to see how many of the players you have found are in my squad!
I don't want to get too involved in scouting without telling you all this so you can decide if its 'spoiler knowledge' or not.
I may need some tactical advice for it soon too as the Championship is bloody difficult even with my quality side.

Problem with going for young players on a free is that they sometimes come with compensation attached (I believe transfers inside the UK don't count), for example I looked at Vullemin and his compensation was somewhere in the £800k-£1m mark, which is way above our budget and more importantly twice the actual amount of money the club has.
I will have a look at them and sign any player who's compensation is not excessive (or better yet non-existent). Thanks for looking around though.
TT, probably your best bet for advice is just to upload the save and let us see what you've got.
