[SPOILERS] Novice and SevenSpirits play Suleiman of Korea

Trade route bonus from peace recovers by 3% a turn to a max of 150% - at least on normal speed. At any rate it should fully recovered - IIRC we circumnavigated 50 turns ago, and the Lewwyn war was before that.

We declared war on him early but he also declared war on us later.

Edit: I see we made peace on his t45.

Edit2: So they are like +60%, that's not enough to get to +100% (only other factor is the 25% connection to capital) but it's only about 5t away.

Thanks for the undeserved praise. Anyway, I'll succumb to flattery and take you all on a tour of our cities, after ending turn 65.

Our capital has reached a temporary comfort zone and is building settlers/workers while also cranking some specialists. I microed this current settler to complete in 2 turns. We have a chop coming in, but I'm thinking of giving it to DI.

Blameless Yin has built a monastery and just chopped an axe to reinforce Homely Pits. It's now on missionary duty. The governor has the right idea and slowed down growth temporarily to finish this first one next turn. It will head to our northern galley and spread the faith in our planned dyes city.

Cruel Guitar was whipped for a much-needed worker, and now has overflow to spend. Not sure what on, not the chariot at least, since that would waste overflow.

Dominate It got a free buddhism spread a few turns ago and instantly went from crappy city to decent contributor. With a chop it can complete a lighthouse quickly and grow onto those yummy coast tiles. It has recently whipped a settler for our dyes city, then produced a spear and chariot to reinforce the front towards Mackoti's jungle city.

Epic Smoots is indeed epic. It's paused for a worker build, and gold will be online next to remove that unhappy face. It can then keep growing, what with calendar resources coming online shortly.

Failed Sum just 1-whipped the lighthouse and will grow again next turn. The turn after it can work coast over furs to grow yet again. It will probably build military for our silver settlement.

Great Inferior can whip the library in 3 turns, or in 2 turns if we work a citizen for a turn. It will be nice to get some culture in here.

Homely Pits also needs a library, but will get a granary first. Another worker is sailing over along with an axe to help chop those forests. We might consider shipping a missionary too and get a monastery in here, to take over the clams from Mackoti's marble city.

Iced Mine is our latest city. The gold will be mined by the time the city grows.

Our northeast, with our planned dyes city. A settler and spear are on the galley and will unload next turn, with the city being settled t67. The galley will head back and pick up a worker and a missionary. A warrior will help garrison the city, I guess we should send a chariot over land as well.

And our southwest, with two possible silver cities. I think we'll settle a silver city before our marble, since we have a trireme guarding the marble island, and our galley is busy with the dyes city at the moment.

Played turn 66, not much to report. Mackoti and Lewwyn signed peace. Subpar's scout observed us landing a spear/settler pair on the dyes between us.

First a bit of a back-update. t66-67 we teched currency. We also got a great person t67, which disappointingly ended up as the 59% prophet we were hoping to avoid.

t68 came in and let's see here:
1) Someone just got Calendar.
2) Dupa Riu which was showing 38h invested last turn was just 2-whipped for a forge, which implies at least 16h of overflow.
3) Dupa Riu still has 5 forests.
4) Mackoti's workers haven't shown their faces in his new cities nearly as much as would be ideal.
5) Mackoti's marble quarry finishes next turn.

5 forests * 2.75 is 275 hammers, and even the forge overflow alone is enough to finish the MoM in a single turn. So we are considering that plan to be dead in the water. Novice had to go to bed, but I changed three things in his eot save.

1) Switched from working a river plains to a citizen since the extra foodhammer would just be lost to rounding after finishing the worker, so it actually just trades 1g for 4b. Don't try this at home.

2) Switched tech to archery. I think we want it next to make cheap and hard-to-counter defenders. And even if the whole MoM scenario I painted up above is a mirage (which I would bet heavily against), saving gold on archery still lets us get Calendar in 2t if we want, and no we are not building wealth to get it in 1 more turn in a risky quest to race for MoM, so no loss there IMO.

3) Due to the impending archery tech I swapped Cruel Guitar's chariot build, where no hammers had yet been invested, to a WB. This WB can reach the jungle city in time for the border pop, or be for marble city. I'm sure we can find a use for it.

OK, that was for Novice, mostly. What else is up these days? Here's the jungle, where Mackoti has settled at us and we in turn have settled at Lady NoGa.

The tundra, where we are planning to settle at them again from the other side.

Demographics.

We're doing good of course. Though stonehenge plus GLH plus MoM for a guy liable to land Taj is pretty worrying. Playing against good people is hard. bang

Everybody else:
Oh Mackoti, you tease us so!

MoM did not complete, since Mack only chopped three forests. I expect the other two will go this turn though.

I'm not going to bother doing the math here - 2001 EPs to sabotage production is code for "I'm about to finish MoM".

In other news, our Trireme's cover has been blown. shhh

And Nobar are finally gearing up to complete the Hanging Gardens it seems, founding 3 cities this turn. That's good, we don't want the HG to fall to someone else.
