Yeah but their unemployment is all the way up to 6.6%, so its a tradeoff.

Pardon me if I'm getting this wrong, but where is the trade off? The US unemployment rate is at 11.1% right now and was at 14.7% in April. That's definitely worse then 6.6%

Plus the new numbers don't account for the recent upsurge in cases and the new closures being implemented as a result.
From what i know in USA every state has his own politics related to corona virus, but i seen worse then dave statement people acusing Trump that theyr bicycle was stollen. And the most cases from what i read are in liberal states which even Trump would say a good thing they reject that right way because Trump bad.
So they do whatever they think is good and if result is bad is Trump fault,Very convenient. And if rezult is good was all theyr leadership...
Ah ok thanks. They joy of communication only via text.

Yes Darrell, it's 2020, sarcasm on the internet has become unrecognizable - please use an /s tag!
Then again, it's an easy mistake to make - happened to your president as well when he suggested injecting people with desinfectant. Or when he wanted to cure people with UV light. Or when he promised the virus would "magically" disappear. Mackoti, Trump has burned any good will or taking his statements on good faith that he might possibly deserve. "Everything Trump Touches Dies" is barely hyperbole. The federal government should be taking the initiative here - and they haven't, for months. The CDC is a joke these days. Now the discussion in the US is all about masks - which shouldn't be a hard one, but Trump's been making it difficult. If Trump had just put a mask on in April when the CDC started recommending it, the US would have so many fewer cases today it's not funny. And yes, I would have given him credit for that, if he'd done the SIMPLEST thing possible at ANY point during this crisis. Or when the federal government created a decent set of reopening guidelines, and then Trump immediately started yelling about LIBERATE MICHIGAN - saying "yeah, just ignore those guidelines that might actually help you." If a state does something successfully, it's generally been in spite of the federal government, and not because of it. So it's not unfair - the federal government abdicated its responsibilities and was sometimes making things worse. Feds were literally seizing supplies meant for states, and providing next to no information about what was going on. States practically smuggled PPE and testing supplies into the country because of this. At this point, COVID is increasing virtually everywhere here. In March/April, the worst cases were mostly in New York State. That is very much not the case today - Florida, Arizona, and Texas are each seeing caseloads comparable to the ENTIRE EU right now, and no one would consider those states or their governments liberal. |
