The reason I suspect you is because I think that the mafia would have post restricted one of their own to try and gain cover. Therefore, one of you or novice is theoretically a member of the mafia. Now, it's pretty obvious why the mafia would silence novice. He's widely regarded as one of the most dangerous players in the game, and has been very vocal with his arguments to try and lynch people. This is my first game here, but I haven't got anywhere near the same sort of vibe from you, either before or after the post restriction. There simply doesn't seem to be any real advantage in silencing you. Hence, the conclusion is that you were PR'd, or pretended to be PR'd, to make yourself look village.

I only looked at your voting record to see if it contradicted my assumption, but at this stage it's ambiguous, and it hinges significantly on pindicator's alignment. If he's village, you're suspect number 1. If he's scum, you're not as suspicious. Since we currently don't know this, I see no reason to ignore my suspicions about the post restriction stuff.

So I'm thinking my Ichabod vote isn't getting a lot of traction. I don't want to move it but it seems pretty useless. My next list suspect would be Azza who also doesn't seem to be gathering any traction. I'm going to watch a bit more and see what movement there is. My wife isn't home and I'm on vacation so I may be able to stay up a bit later tonight, though I don't know if I can stay up till 5am.

This game is seriously dragging.

I'm willing to have another go at Azza today, if anyone is interested. I'm glad he's posting more, but I think he's still hiding behind posts with very little content. I found him the best candidate yesterday, nothing has changed today. I also do think that we will get some highly useful information on him if he flips scum.

Won't happen, don't waste your time, or your lynch.

Ok, makes sense I guess. I agree novice is excellent player, so why only restrict him one day and then leave him alive? He could be wolf, but I doubt it. The contrast is so high based on his previous wolf games and he's lynched two wolves. Personally I think the idea was to PR couple of villagers and leave them alive, to encourage paranoia and direct people away from hunting scum. If they'd want to use the PR's as weapon to silence people, why not save it until the later part of the game?

Nice save there, I was starting to think you had some extra knowledge on Pind's alignment mischief

There are two theories on novice being kept alive IMO.

1) He's mafia.

2) The mafia have some kind of name-seer/weakened role scanner. Zak was always going to die night one, and they scan Serdoa on a the first night, see blood brother and go after him to get 2 kills.
Third night, Qgqqqqq reveals a threatening role to them, so they kill him before he has the chance to catch any mafia.
Fourth night, they are suckered into believing that Rowain is unlynchable and so kill him, thinking that if they don't, the village will finally have a confirmed villager.

Two is feasible, as otherwise I cannot see why they would not kill Novice on night two, especially as he was 'post restricted' so couldn't leave much of a helpful trail to other mafia.

The problem with the village for me atm is that we have only one 'cat herder'.

I was (and still am) hoping that Lewwyn would be a bit more of a leader as the game wears on, because I am uncertain on novice yet he is the only person who seems to gain followers to his ideas and targets.

Which is just a bit too troubling for my taste. And it isn't going to change because noone wants to risk lynching novice.
