Once the game starts again, I do hope to do my share of course, but there isn't that much time and RBP2 has my priority.

Remind me to only play an Always War game or a No Tech Trading game next time.. all those blocs take the fun out of the game for me.

Was just thinking about that yesterday and I agree. I think an ideal game, atleast in theory, for me, is a NTT or AW with anonymity and no score. Civ5 is coming out "soon" (in pitboss scale!) though, so I doubt there'll be a new pitboss started.

you guys think along the same lines as me. I mentioned in chat to darrell the other day that once rbpb2 is over (and I can find some people) I might try and put together an AW, or NTT or CTON game. I don't enjoy the diplomacy that tech trading or brokering requires and i really don't like the blocs that (atleast) brokering forms.

Here's my plan for our future empire:



Tech trading has started and we're getting somewhere. We still can't tech in a way I would like, so I suggest we try to provide units/workers/settlers for our allies for the next few years and try to keep afloat.

We'll settle Kalin Burgers next turn, I think.
What shall we build in JANK to keep it growing? I suggest a Library.
Do we start mining the jungle now and start roading towards the Iron site? I think we should get that one before the forest site.

I'll let you do the rest of the unit movement since you have the plan better in your mind.

Game might get a bit more interesting now, but my main strategy for now would be to keep in the game, let others fight the battles and grow, grow, grow!

Everything seems good here. I'm not overly into this game and can't bring myself to get into it more. I don't enjoy the diplo and don't have enough time to keep up with everything...as I'm sure we all don't. I'm happy to continue playing the turns and I'll try and keep up making sure the MM side of things is as good as it can be. However given the probable break up of Heracles I think unless one of us is willing to step up big time and become the main player we'll eventually get left behind and conquered (most likely candidate = Aztec + 1). I wouldn't be overly disappointed if that happened but I'm not just going to rollover either.

Unless something changes the plan is to found Kalin burger's next turn and then the Iron city. We should be able to grab a bit of land now easily but we're going to need help teching I think. Nakor's suggestion of helping allies with workers/settlers is probably the best bet.

We need to dial up Rome and see if we're still going to work with them.
