You mean, like the part where we were the ones who put the "end open borders" term in the treaty?

played save...
Currency came in; next tech is Metal Casting.
At 40% (+2 gold), we get it in 4 turns.
Dale switched to a Market.
Minas Tirith started a Market too, and only after the turn ended did I realize I could have instead started a second Great Wall build. Oops. We can switch it next turn.
The offers from Yuris came through (Ivory and OB).
A confirmation e-mail also came in and asked if we were interested in trading stone, explicitly for the Pyramids. I told them we were building it and looking at the Great Wall because it's there, so they can't get the Pyramids and might not be able to get the stone anyway.

Cool. Did we get the gem mine up yet?
So if our next GP is not a scientist or merchant (i.e. is a priest/artist) I think we should burn him in a golden age, revolting to Representation immediately, and Organized Religion and Confucianism on that last turn.
Right now, our great person is due 1t after the pyramids. However, if we sub out two grass cottages for scientists, not only do we still grow, but we get the great person a turn earlier (same turn as the Mids; eot74). Then if the GP is a priest/artist, we simply burn him t75 and can swap into Rep for free! T80 we can then also add Organized Religion, and we switch to Confucianism whenever we get it. (GES is pretty sure we will have the missionary in time.)
Sound appealing? I kind of even want to do this if it's a good GP...

Btw, Currency gave us an extra $17/turn even though it only looked like $12 at the end of last turn. Yay! Only one city doesn't have foreign trade routes.
Partial TODO list for next turn:
* Switch to the lighthouse in Lorien and whip it. Give Lorien's western cottage to Angmar.
* Move two citizens in the capital off of grass cottages and onto scientists. Double-check we are still making 50h there. [All assuming pyramids aren't built yet.]
* Offer a rice to GES. (I just promised him one in chat.)

Played turn; did all that.
Also switched Minas Tirith to Great Wall for more failgold when we do build it for real.
Gem mine came up this turn rather than last turn because I wasn't paying attention to signs enough last turn and didn't devote enough workers to finishing it.
Great person in 2 turns now that we're working scientists. It was 3 before. Pyramids looks to be in 4 turns, but chopping will shorten that, hopefully.
Golden Age plan sounds nice, although I'm wondering why you'd settle a GM ... or would you? I bet you'd want to do a trade mission with a GM. Hmm. In SP, I never trusted the AIs enough.

We would definitely want to do a trade mission with a merchant rather than settling it. Or actually, we'd want to give it to GES to do a trade mission on us. That would be worth more due to his high pop capital and ToA.
I think we should start a golden age no matter what, though, actually. (If we get pyramids.)

Chopping both forests got us the Pyramids EOT, as well as a Great Scientist. Oh, Metal Casting came in, too. Momentous turn, you'll agree.
Well, beyond that, not much happened, aside from founding a city. I wasn't feeling inspired, so we're going to need to rename it next turn. Anyway, it's building a granary. Osgiliath finished its build, so I set it to build a market.
Next techs are to go for Monotheism, IIRC. After that, I'm going to go back to advocating that we go for Optics and get the ability to develop those whales... we're working one already for the food, I think, as it is.
