I decided to go with 1W of Silver, 1S of Marble. The problem is, Commodore is just about to get eyes on this. Also, I discovered another incredibly valuable site to settle. Thank God the subs got deleted:



White circles are my settlers, plus another white circle on Gems island to show where I'd like to settle. The purple circle is Commodore's Keshik. Commodore and I have a NAP, but its entirely plausible he'll have a meltdown once he sees my cities (I can't settle til next turn but the hills should block visibility on my Settlers.)

I settled Banana Caramelo this turn (Toffee Bananas are apparently a popular Chinese dessert - who knew?)



Civil Service due in 3T. Think I'm going to go after a Parthenon/Great Library run after that. Can't let mackoti get everything. :P

Had a chat with Commodore and its all sorted. I'll be settling those two cities next turn.

Lot of lurker thread activity. Wonder if there's some fireworks coming up or y'all are debating my "wonderland" dotmap. If its the former, sounds great, since I have NAPs with both mackoti and Commodore. If its the latter, its not all that interesting. The land is pretty good and adding silver and gems to the old happy cap is nice, but there's very little food in the area so they'll be nice boosts but nothing overpowering.

Certainly nothing worth protecting with barbarian submarines, if this is what they were around to defend.

Played a couple more turns. Whipped some stuff. CS came in and adopted Bureaucracy and Caste, will pump out a merchant before swapping back. Going to grab Meditation next, for Monasteries in the right spots.

Few different thing have discouraged me from updating this every turn, not least of which is the apparent reduction from a max of I believe 6 dedlurkers to the current total of 1 who is on vacation. The time the turns have been coming in isn't helping either.

Anyway, I'll try and at least maintain 5 turn recaps and answer any questions the peanut gallery might have. Man I'd love to start this game over from T30 or so.

Yeah, pair of barbs hunting me over there, so I've had to delay settling silver until I get a unit over. Chariots going to complete just in time at marble to avoid being autorazed by a barb. I've got a spear in transit to the area, however.
