so its my fault that you warred ineffectively? ... i saw (parts of?) your army at one point and it consisted of Rifles, Crossbows and the odd other stuff such as Muskets and Pikes... nothing siege'y to make a slow meatgrinder by bombarding down the cities and take them easily, and no quick mounted units to penetrade hard and fast aiming at forking cities ...

Nothing's your fault, and that information is wrong but it's pointless to debate it. Point was, I felt like I had to make that move to keep myself relevant in the game. I was also advising against long term war because right now, it would be bad for either of us. That is all.

how does wanting peace (which weren't suggested) after just grabbing the city, with no other aggessions, argee with you completely deciminating my army? certainly not a move making me more willing to consider peace talks

Decimating your army is the reason I'm offering peace now. Since your army is the one that "wars effectively" and mine isn't, now that your army is somewhat culled now we're even. Besides, we both know in 20 turns you'll just come back with a stack of Cavs anyways.

but if you didn't had deciminated my army it would have been much more likely that i wouldn't point my army your way in the near future ... hell ... if you friendly requested the city to get something out of the war i might very well have accepted for only a symbolic gesture

that said ... as you said, you're also losing by continuing the war ... i would like an argeement that you help me capture Azza's capital (with me being the end owner) and we'll draw a black line over it all ... look at it this way ... it'll help you as well to remove the culture pressure

Sounds good. I'd like to have a look at the save coming back around before 100% agreeing, but unless something drastically unnerves me I'll be glad to accept that.

I'm going to leave the following scenario for our three remaining contenders to ponder over.

My capital is quite a nice city. It is also heavily defended, on a hill, with a large culture defence bonus. If you take it, or attempt to take it, you will take heavy casualties and leave yourself very vulnerable to a counter attack by another contender. Same story with Cubert, except it's not as good a city.

Win the battle, or win the war. It's your call.
