Paying 100 mio for Bale is just crazy. Sure, he isn't bad, but he has played like 9 games in the Champion's League and never won anything with a team. He wouldn't be the first guy to perform much worse at big club than at his home club where he was the undisputed star.

Real and Barça are trying the 100% points won League Win this season.
 La Liga is such a stupid competition. It would be better just to make something like a best of 7 games between Real and Barça and let the other teams play a separate league. Or on a more serious take, they should adopt a "league with playoff" format, like American Football. It's the only way to make the smaller teams have any chance. This is why the Brazilian League is the best in the world. It's a 20 teams league, not a 2 to 4 teams league like all the others.  Well, the german league seems a bit better than the others, I'd say.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the delta between Bayern and Bundesliga #3 is greater than the delta between RM/Barca and La Liga #3. EPL is the most balanced of the elite Euro leagues, because so many teams have deep pockets.

Well that's the thing. Usually you like a team because they're from your area, which I assumed would not apply to darrell. But I see that's not exactly the case so that makes sense.
I personally like people, and then by extension the team that they're on.
