At this point, not logging in to the site for a month and then disappearing without a peep for 3 days is a really loud message already. Maintaining communication is as much of a responsibility as following double move rules, imo. So a sub is definitely needed.

To be honest I don't really care if he enter the forum or not as long as he play his turn. Which he has so far. As I understand Ceiliaziul send him a e-mail 5 hours ago, I think that start searching for a sub is not a bad idea, but maybe give him at least one day so he can read and replay will be a good idea. Anyway as I said is my opinion, nobody have to agree or do what I'm saying.

my own internet connection is down at the moment, but I'll play asap. I agree the empire still belongs to sisu, it takes a long time to install a replacement... so sisu will have plenty of time to respond here or thru email.

I don't care about him updating his thread, but I do care about not communicating to other players when encountering an extended downtime. Three days is unacceptable for me if no effort has been made to inform the other players. Please begin the process of finding a temporary replacement. If we continue to hear nothing from Sisu, we can find a more permanent replacement. Three days delay by itself isn't the issue for me. It's the lack of effort to inform anyone about his intent to continue. That's not fair to others in the game.

if I don't hear from him in before lunch, ill start a thread to find a replacement. I agree I can't take over for his position.
Ceil, I appreciate that you've reached out to Sisu and are willing to jump in and play a turn. I know the game hasn't moved in awhile, but I'm concerned that if you feel you can't take over for Sisu, how can you play the next turn or turns? I don't know if your reluctance is based on being spoiled, being above "green" level, or another reason, but I think waiting for Sisu or a sub is best.
Unless there are clear instructions for the turn in the thread, I think we should wait. Thoughts anyone?

I'm unclear on this too. I was assuming that Ceiliazul is a ded-lurker? And he says he hasn't communicated with Sisu since forever. So I'm not sure him playing a few turns is a good idea if he's not going to take over permanently - there's going to be an awkward hand-off period. (I say this thinking of what's best for the fairness of this game while admittedly being really eager to play my own turns asap.)

If you guys don't mind, I agree it would be best to wait. I've been watching his game, I feel I can sub for a turn. who is admin for this game? tell me how you want it.
as for a permanent replacement, I feel I have too much experience to belong here, and not enough time besides.

No admin/outside organizer this game?
If you're nervous about putting your password in your thread (and I know the feeling...) you can send it to me. I don't promise to conduct an exhaustive replacement search, but I'll at least be around.
Sunrise is the closest thing y'all got to an admin, it seems. So I'll play the turn if requested by sunrise or by a vote of five teams. I think it's fair at this point.
Edit: represented in the above quote is either ultimate irony or ultimate self-awareness.

I'd trust Sunrise or Commodore (I think he made the map for this game) or pretty much whoever wanted the job as admin.
I vote don't play turns until we have a permanent replacement. (If you actually wanted to be the permanent replacement despite feeling overqualified I might even be fine with that in the interest of just having a game.)

If we haven't heard from Sisu by Monday, it would be nice to play a turn - no matter who plays - in order to maintain interest in the game.
