Noooooo Revis!
Can't say I didn't see this coming. And rent-a-revis accomplished what it was supposed to. But still sad.
Then again, GrantLand's response to the other AFC East teams signing a ton of superstars:
"These three teams could sign an entire Pro Bowl roster and I’d still have trouble picking anyone but the Patriots to win the AFC East. It’s not because I don’t want it to happen; it’s because I’ve gotten older and learned to stop dreaming. There is no hope in this world. Just Belichick."

And here I was hoping on an update about a real game (civ 4) instead of that weird thing

Fine, I'll do a real update when I finish current turn. Nothing really has happened. I'm building lots and lots of units.
Tech wise going for infantry, probably something like 10 turns out. Against Finharry I have no change except to make the fight costly for them. But against TBS having my mainline combat unit on par could be the difference between victory (or deterring conflict) and defeat.
I've vaguely considered attacking krovice. He has a sentry net in my lands but I could probably managed to use boats to sneak cavalry strike forces to raze Willow Lake and <city forget name of, near Gronk>. But that'd be all I could do, and then we'd just stalemate again. Or even if I made headway, I'd probably get smashed in the back by Finharry.

For a thousand years we waited.
For a thousand years we bided our time.
For a thousand years the aztecs sailed our waters.
For a thousand years we did nothing.
For a thousand years we stood by.
But now, now we strike.
The declaration caused a whole lot of teleporting...
It caused all the ships to become this huge naval doomstack
But that doomstack is far, far away from the core...
I thought a good bit about the ethics of doing this. Certainly it could plausibly throw the game to TBS (or BGN I guess, I have visibility on TBS and Finharry who seem to be closer to winning). But I think revenge is a sufficiently honorable justification. There's a geopolitical cost to attacking someone such that they can no longer win, I just waited a long, long time to impose it...

So yeah, if those transports are full (quite possibly full of commandos) then I am about to get wrecked...
Drawing fire from Finharry is net good I suppose, they can't use it on TBS where it matters more.
Commando strikes should be costly for them though, pretty sure I have enough fighters on intercept that they won't be able to bomb down anything inland so they'll be sending troops in against CG2 Infantry with 60% culture.
Modern Armor...
Fleet advanced towards Finharry land, but doubt I'll be able to really do much to them besides stop transport movement, mess up the coastline, and occupy ~40 units guarding my potential targets. Though I can produce tanks now with enough xp for commando (only as of this turn, just earned the final GG), and will unlock the promo in 2t of research. So in a few turns could threaten their coast with those i suppose. Still doubt I can do much, they have too much of a production advantage. Best I can manage to forcing some of that production to be more defense and not space.

You've been this close to a commando city all this time? Farm some XP man! Lots of exciting folks like xenu could have helped you out with that
