The Pen vs The Sword (Gandhi of NA)

Frontline is dead. Sorry TBS. Also, BGN joined the war against us

BGN didn't declare. I got confused. Just moved a bunch of Destroyers + 2 Transpots into our territory thanks to open borders. That + him obviously following a turn split made me think he declared. Phew

I will need to choose the new 3rd legendary city, there's no obvious candidate, and I'm going to see if Old Harry captures anything else before making that choice. I reinforced that other 2 cities to make sure they don't fall - either of them would be a bigger loss than Frontline

That sucks, sorry Yuri, it was a pretty impossible job to ask someone to come in in the middle of this war.

I guess that will push our victory date back such that Weldyn and Elensefar can go Legendary on their own culture and the 3rd city would need all the great artists. In that case, it might be possible to squeeze out 1 more artist from the National Epic city -> hold everything else until it completes its current pool and then try get out another artist(4500gpp I think from it). It's probably impossible to do anywhere else but you might check there.

Old Harry sent an offer of cease fire. I don't see why I should accept. The only outcome of ending this war seems to be that he would lose war weariness unhappiness. Doesn't seem like we would benefit in any way. Or am I missing something?

Results of Apostolic Palace election. I assume we had the Popeship before, but interesting who voted for who

Maybe if OH is still bombing our improvements the cease fire is worth something? Otherwise it sounds like you're right. But they have all the late game happy wonders so the WW probably doesn't hurt them either.

I'll see if they bombarded anything this turn, maybe re-offer cease fire if they did. This turn we should also have the first great artist born, any preference where to keep them? The capital, because if that falls we lose regardless?

Militarywise, I'm currently drafting 5 Infatries per turn as discussed, building Marines and Tanks, plus getting some Battleships in addition to our fleet of Destroyers, because collateral damage is good. We shouldn't have any more losses. Hopefully

The capital sounds good. You could try store them on a boat there to keep the numbers hidden, though I doubt they'd lose count.

Have you chosen a new culture city btw? It's hard to tell without the info in front of me, but I was thinking maybe Basilisk Caves.
Big city, good coastal trade routes, lots of culture built up + a confu academy and a good distance from the Aztecs.

Hornshark is probably worse than Basilisk at culture generation and being off the mainland is risky.

New Silverhead would probably be better than Basilisk, but it's right by the coast so I'm not sure.

Other Artist generators seem to have obvious flaws.

The other option is a cottage/levee city - Wesmere might be the best option. I think Basilisk may have too big a head start but I can't really tell.

I think after revolt to Free Speech and looking at the cities I thought New Silverhead was the best, but I was concerned that it's too close to the coast. So still have my doubts. Glad you thought about it as well smile Agree that Hornshark is not great. Will check Basilisk Caves this turn and decide between it and New Silverhead

Looks like it all turned out for the best, eh? That original location just wouldn't have been an option for a CV city. lol
