As a reminder, we have the Season Three Championship game coming up this weekend on Saturday, November 18th. I'll be updating the preview tomorrow with the community predictions for the game. We still have about three and a half days left to get in predictions, which I'll link again here.

Each game on a few different difficulties and map size, with and without raging barbs, all at the default number of AIs. The map is just insane with barb spawns. I played a... I think it was monarch game without raging barbs on and Germany straight up died to the barbs. Lost like 4 cities and was eliminated.
Community predictions have been added to the preview for the Championship Game. There's about two and a half days remaining until the Saturday start at our usual time of noon EST. Make sure to get your predictions in using the link in the above post.
Fluffball Wrote:Gustaran Wrote:How many AIs were in the game? Hm, I can't confirm that. I started a game on "noble" on the largest mapside (Highlands/Raging Barbs with default AI number (9?) and while the barbs did slow everything down a little, no AI had trouble building a larger civilization. Maybe the mega-barb-invasion only occurs on higher difficulty settings? Sullla Wrote:Community predictions have been added to the preview for the Championship Game. My prediction is in - good thing your post reminded me that the Championship Game takes place on a Saturday instead of a Friday. Go Mansa! Perhaps game speed? I want to run a few games on deity to see if I can spot what happens (safely sheltered in a mountain of course, no way I'm playing raging barbs/highlands/deity!!) Will screw around with that after the AI finals are over. Edit: How do you set up a map to have vision over everything at all times? Is there some sort of special script I'd need to run? I don't think I'm that invested in this experiment if so, haha.
In CivilizationIV.ini, find the entry CheatCode, and change it to
Code: CheatCode = chipotle Then start a game, and press Ctrl+Z to enter debug mode, which will reveal the map Be careful not to accidentally cheat in games you don't want to cheat it (such as RB events) (November 16th, 2017, 14:18)Fluffball Wrote:(November 16th, 2017, 04:02)Gustaran Wrote:Fluffball Wrote:Gustaran Wrote:How many AIs were in the game? Try playing a one-city challenge on Deity. Or just turtle in the corner and watch the chaos? Or give yourself some mech infantry? if you want to watch, just watch!
As a last reminder, the Championship Game is about to start in less than two hours. I'm about to begin the Livestream now. If you want to enter a pick for the contest, this is your last chance to do it.
Thank you for hosting the event this year.
I hope you had as much fun hosting it as I did watching it! |
