Of course, Ichabod answered while I was answering novice.

I guess short of Meiz being the Post Restrictor, I don't think we actually learn too much about novice. I'm against a lynch test at this point in the game, honestly - I want real info. But since I can see Meiz being scum, I can justify the lynch on those terms. Also, since Ichabod has been the most active pursuant of this line (outside of TT, who is TT) my devilish super-conspirator keeps thinking maybe he knows something more about it than the rest of us do and has been setting up mislynches with it.

Either way, this should tell us something.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I think it's bad play - maybe Meiz has mostly contributed town reads, but we're all struggling to find scum reads (which indicates lurking wolves IMO), and his town reads don't strike me as reads scum would want to share. Specifically, his meta arguments clearing Injera and Jkaen are good IMO, and scum would definitely have those two on their "to be mislynched" list.
I have to run.

I don't think it's a good idea to investigate the post restrictor this way. If a post restrictor exists, muting two villagers seems like a pretty good move. Their posting is limited, and someone was bound to start throwing suspicion on them for it eventually. And given the mounting suspicion, it makes sense to let them live until a mislynch can be secured.

So if the main argument against Meiz and/or novice is that a post restrictor is out of theme with the game, I'm not too keen on it. With Mattimeo I felt strongly that the 3-shot cloaker name was way out of theme, turns out that he was a wolf with a name that was way out of theme. So I don't think BRick is consistent enough (from what we know) that we can pursue a meta argument yet.

I'm staying on Azza for now, I think his posts and votes have been very guarded all game. Villagers will tend to speak freely, scum will tend to speak very carefully. I could also be persuaded to join an Ichabod lynch.

@jkaen - sorry to hear about your eye frown That's rough; I hope it gets better.

Azza Wrote:I only looked at your voting record to see if it contradicted my assumption, but at this stage it's ambiguous, and it hinges significantly on pindicator's alignment. If he's village, you're suspect number 1. If he's scum, you're not as suspicious. Since we currently don't know this, I see no reason to ignore my suspicions about the post restriction stuff.

Can you explain this a little more for me Azza? Why is Meiz scum dependent on whether I'm village? (And whether you want to believe me or not, I am village.)

Anyway, I don't like Selrahc a lot more than I don't like Meiz

Two of the 5 days, Meiz has voted for you. The other 3, (from memory) he voted a sole vote on someone, lynched Merovech and lynched Mattimeo. If you flipped scum, he's got a good enough voting record to lean village on him. If you flipped village, he's got very little to theoretically clear him IMO.

Come on guys, make up your minds.

You want information, yet you keep going back to Selrahc whose death will give us nothing.

Even if he is a mafia, what then? He is the definition of a lynch that can wait.

Lynching Meiz means that we have somewhere to go whether he is guilty or not, and I think he could be and I want an end to some of my suspicions that have been lingering for too long.

@azza - So you don't see any chance that Meiz and I are both villagers and he just really thinks I'm scum? It has some supporters, i believe. Or should I think everyone who voted twice for me is scum? In other words, what do you see that sets Meiz apart?

Tasunke

He should be voting for me, and he isn't. He stayed on me the entirety of yesterday. I think he's trying to avoid the stink of getting linked in with this lynch. Intentionally not engaging.

I'm basically resigned to being murdered here, but I feel there have been movements afoot to cultivate me as a mislynch for a few days, so hopefully my death won't leave a cold information trail.

The reason for the Gaspar vote earlier, incidentally, was that I feel he has been somewhat of a shadow presence in this game. He is saying he is busy, which I'm sure is true. I just miss some of the vibrancy he has brought to previous games. Consequentially though, I find it harder to read Shadow-Gaspar and wish he would bring some more up.

Novice, I posted up a suspect list last time you asked. I still broadly hold the same views. I am sort of feeling Pindicator has similarly been cultivated as a mislynch though, so I have less suspicion there.

On a broader note, I feel the votes in this game are necessarily going to be a little lacking in information. The scum have the liberty to bus one another, and clearly did so on day 1. Bring the wolf to attention and act as a driving force for their lynch? That buys you some goodwill from me. Just happening to be on their wagon when they got killed doesn't seem that significant. I think all this talk of the "Mattimeo Voters" is misleading. This game is rather different because it is going to be long and there are a lot of wolves. Creating discernable patterns in behaviour to save wolves *will* be picked up on as the game progresses, so the wolves will have to be very callous with regards to packmates until they approach endgame. I wouldn't expect the wolves to start momentum on other wolves, but I would expect them to join in in roughly expected numbers in order to break patterns.

That's me lot. Lynch away.
