I think Locke is right as well, but let's wait for the others to decide first. There are people who need this much more then we. Also, it might give us some insight in how the diplomatic relations are.
Things will lead to wars eventually. We are not in a position to do something at this point, so we must let others fight while teching to get at a point where we can start fighting as well. Let's hope that time will come...

You beat the prediction by an hour.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I still read your "boring-ass thread." But then, I read everybody's thread. I don't have a choice. So that may not make you feel much better.

Somehow, that "the man" is reading our thread doesn't provide much additional comfort. Thanks, though, GES.
I'm bored, so here's some more pictures. Here's south Vikingland:
And the fledgling north:
Helluland:
Vinland:
The sorry state of Viking scientific research:
And demos:
If there's something else someone would like to see, let us know.

I read your thread. Boredom for lurkers is probably good news for you, so you shouldn't worry much about it. Feel free to invade somebody though.
As far as thread views, there are 5 player threads with a lower count than yours. Your thread has more views than the combined sum of Adlain's, WarriorKnight's, and Locke's.
Only four players have more thread views than you:
Luddite's thread isn't boring thanks to the fireworks.
Plako is clearly playing very well and posting frequently.
Spam kings Rego/Sunrise constantly update and have a tendency to initiate off topic discussions.
Lord Parkin spams a lot and has an entire legion of deadlurkers also spamming his thread.

I read this voluntarily. Why is the corn in Vinland unworked? Maybe your foodless horse city should have been 1E after all?
I have to run.

Our view and post count totals are mostly due to being a team, if this game is like others I've lurked, at least half of the partners and dedlurkers have vanished in other teams. Nonetheless, I appreciate the lurker candy, it motivates me to post more. We'll always post a decent bit, we don't communicate anywhere else. Nakor's cheating on me with his old girlfriend now though, so maybe I won't post so much.
Re: the corn - the worker was going to complete in 1T, so I moved to work a new cottage for this turn in the interest of speeding maturation. However, I did prefer the 1E location personally, I think Nakor doesn't particularly enjoy tile micro, however. I developed a tolerance for it in PBEM12 - that many cities that early sort of forces you to pay more attention. I wouldn't suggest I'm great at it, but I don't mind overlap is all. It does force you to work harder, however. Surely, anyone lurking here has already recognized we play a low maintenance brand of Civ.

You know I only love you, Gaspar!
Crossing II founded:
Greenland finished the monastry and will build a settler (2-pop whip?).
If we change the cottage for the corn next turn in Vinland, we can grow that turn (I can do micro, just don't like it that much).
Beaverpass should fire the Artist next turn.
Riverland can whip a worker next turn.
Axe from Helluland can move to the horses.
Crossing can start a worker after growth next turn and we can 2-pop whip that.
I think getting MC and forges must be our next target!
I'll leave it to you to end turn and do some more micro.
