Best update I have read in a long time. Commodore,
[SPOILERS] PB7: Winning The Hard Way - Mao Plays Craps

I lol'ed. Great post. Now I have that song stuck in my head.
As you may have noticed my activity here has taken a nose dive. I've started my new job in Tampa, the situation is...um...I'm not sure what word to use. The guys who abandoned this shop really left things in a ****ed condition. And the job is to fix everything before two months when my contract ends. WHAT? Who does that? I already regret signing on for this one, but it's a paycheck...soooo.... Looks like no civ time for me coming up. I'll check in as often as I can but I'm afraid I've sold you a bill of goods here, Commodore. You thought you were going to ded-lurk a player in need and I ended up selling you the whole game. I'll remain unspoiled and only reviewing this thread, and if I ever get a weekend where I have free time (you know, after doing the family thing too!) I can log into the game and have a look, to give an update or different view on things. But for now...meh.....work is going to suck. 2: Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
So work is still lame and long commutes to and from are eating up about 90 minutes per day round trip that I'm not used to. I haven't played a turn of civ since I bailed here and in PBEM29g and I'm developing an unhealthy twitch from it.
I have managed to keep up lurking during my lunch breaks at work, let me tell you reading Dave's PB6 reports on my cell phone is pushing it....Anyway, what's happening here? Is the war still hot with the Germans? It's late tonight but if I get free tomorrow I'll try to log in and take pictures for anyone waiting for an update. Interesting you should ask. After several long turns of nothing happening but growth, reinforcement, and watching the economy crash, we birthed a scientist. I feel like it was an incredibly sub-par use of him, but...
Yeah. -10gpt at 0% means Currency needed NOW, so we're building Research to be able to build Wealth. Weird game. I did punch us a scout up to the north-east, getting Sailing after Construction is probably worth it for 2gpt trade routes everywhere. Beyond that, nothing much happening. Growing, losing whip anger, awaiting catapults.

First you send everyone to the wars.
Natives, march to front Stand solemnly, uncertain, die A single tear falls Then you send them to the research factory. Science will unite Just trust our casino Almighty dollar
Bulbing Alphabet so you can build research and reach Currency - That's innovative.
How many bpt are you making from your research builds though? (Fake edit: According to your F1 screen it looks like 46bpt). A settled GSci would give 7.5 bpt, how fast would that have gotten you to currency?
I have to run.
