Lucas smiles slightly as the lock clicks open and he can look at the contents of the chest

Seems that worked he calls back to the others, while taking a closer look at the contents of the chest, making a note of the 5 names on the envelopes, and seeing if they match those sent by Baron Chalmers

I would like to take one vial of Dragon blood (I assume Windbreaker can use it ?), the dagger and, if no one has a plan for it, the alchemist's fire.

You can give it to Windbreaker, aye.

Those letters, the silk, the spittoon, and that money are property of my employers, so I must take them off your hands. The rest can be divided up amongst yourselves, as we might need them to survive.
Sorry guys, really not sure how else I can play my character given his reason to be here and his adherence to jobs he takes. Appraise is natural 20, -1 because I'm stupid. Robern isn't that smart, you might be able to comvince him to part with his money. Sorry for having a backstory that conflicts with the party's interests so much, this was not my intention.

Robern, Lucas, and Anya are all fairly sure each bolt of silk is worth around 40gp; the spittoon is worth 200gp to the right buyer.
Metagame aid incoming (and actually planned, so yay)
As Robern lifts the silks up he notes the name of the ship carved on the bottom of the chest, the Tagalong; this was the first ship lost. Shifting the second chest, Lucas and Robern both note this one comes from the Saints' Blessing, the last ship lost and the one of interest to their respective patrons.

The chest is iron-bound and bulky, weighing some 80lbs, but it is something you could carry out with great effort should you give up on the lock.

My employers only owned the third ship, I still want my share of the treasure but I don't need all of it to do my job. I will take 3 bolts of silk and 53 coppers, as that is an equal share of the money. I will take the vial of "dragon's blood" too, it sounds useful.

At the lock's click Niall's brows rise in silent appreciation. To Robern's initial remark he only shrugs, with a flick of the eye to his brother.

'Is that really dragon's blood?' he says, peering over the others' shoulders. 'Well, it's supposed to have healing properties. Those of us who are injured should probably try and drink some, vile though it may be to quaff. After that, I think we had better press on. There are the two staircases here, and the rightward passage before. I suggest we check up, then down, then go back.'

Vial of dragon's blood = 3

Good job, guys. And don't worry about it, Dp101. Just play your character. smile

Lucas leaving the others to fight over who gets what in the first chest heaves the second chest up onto his shoulders

Lets get out of here before that tentacle beast comes back. If any of that blood is left over, I could probably do with a couple of swigs

He then cautiously edges out of the current room, a wary eye on the body of water as he goes
