Adv 18: Antoninus Limps into Space

Yeah, I don't use the governors either. Unfortunately I mm my cities every couple of turns or so, or when I know a city will grow I will assign the new citizen to something good. Doesn't take too long - just open a city and use the arrow keys to cycle between them. It also lets you use slavery better - as you are cycling through the cities you see the ones which are working grass forests or coastline and whip those citizens away or assign a specialist. Or build some cottages.

I do pretty well with early game city management. After about 3-4 cities though, I start forgetting to check each city for opportunities.
One of the best pieces of advice I've seen was to treat your personal game as an SG and play 10-15 turns and save it. Then come back in later and pick up the game like it was new. Works pretty well, until I get a case of "just one more turn"-itus.
