The games can last up to 3-4 months. Each member contributes as much as one would normally contribute in a regular SG, though the added element of competition may be more involved.

I don't think I will be able to play, then. I'll be gone for two weeks right after July 4 and I'm rather busy, so I'll pass.

Hopefully we will get a discussion thread openned soon, so we can start planning. I head out for a weeks vacation starting tomorrow, so I can't do a test game right now to understand the barbarian effects.
I should have Internet access, so I will be able to comment.
If anyone does make a practice game, be sure to post it. I might get a chance to do so next week, but almost certainly won't before then.
